In anticipation of the International Fresh Produce Association’s Foodservice Conference this week, here are four key storage and handling tips to maximize the premium quality of your avocados for your restaurant patrons: 1. Bring avocados inside the restaurant immediately upon arrival. Heat is the greatest factor in destroying quality. 2. Determine the stage of ripeness. Do not store avocados near the fryer. 3. When stacking boxes, place those with ripe avocados on top. 4. Store ripe avocados at 38-42 degrees Fahrenheit to slow ripening and avoid cooler damage. Connect with our Avo Experts at Booth #722 to learn more about our premium avocados and how we can support your culinary needs. #FSC2024

Great chefs know there’s no better way to understand an animal than by breaking down the carcass. The revival of whole beast cookery is all about appreciating butchery as an art, ensuring nothing goes to waste. It’s more than slicing meat—it’s about using every piece and achieving zero waste. Honing these skills empowers chefs, expanding their culinary creativity while saving costs by purchasing whole carcasses. What are your thoughts? We weren’t kidding when we called our fries “restaurant-quality.” We’re the only fry brand you’ll be able to find at grocery stores AND at top restaurants across the country. Making “house-cut fries” is really hard for most chefs. They know how to do it. But they don’t have the space. They don’t have the staff (or if they do, it’s REALLY expensive). So they have to choose: sacrifice quality for convenience or stick with hand-cutting fries and live with the headaches. Most “frozen fries” are mid at best. We know because we tried them all. Jesse & Ben’s fries aren’t frozen fries. They are real Belgian-style, twice-fried fries that we freeze. Big difference. These fries are so good that chefs are proud to serve them on their menu. What restaurants need a fry upgrade??? Or if you have a restaurant and you’re cutting potatoes every day, how about you focus on what you do best and leave the fries to us! #theguysbehindthefries #jesseandbens #fries #frenchfries #frenchfries🍟 #cheflife #cheflife🔪

You know you’re a restaurant person when you use every last condiment packet and cutlery kit. Waste not, want not! BILLIONS of these packets end up in landfills every year. For consumers: some restaurant ate those food costs on their P&L so you could enjoy your to-go or delivery order. Don’t let that spend be in vain! Please only ask for it if you need it. And restaurant owners: 🍅Train staff on the cost of a handful of ketchup vs. a standard 2 packs per order. 🍴At order taking make sauces and cut kits (to-go wrapped silverware) an election, not automatic. Am I the only one that is on a mission to use these up?!?!? Save your wallet and the planet, please. Restaurants can do their part and you can too. 🌎 #restaurants #restaurantmanagement #restaurantindustry #food #delivery

Cook your own food or eat what they will not tell you what they are serving you. Do restaurants have to disclose if they use lab-grown meat? Ask the server or restaurant owner where they source the chicken for their dishes. You can be as specific as to ask if the chicken is organically or conventionally raised or lab-grown. Still, it is critical to note again: Restaurants do not have to disclose where they get their meat or if their meat is lab-grown
