High Liner grows Q1 earnings despite 13% drop in sales volume Canada's High Liner Foods reported a 13% drop in first-quarter sales volume to 67 million pounds (30,391 metric tons), yet managed to increase its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA). Luneburg, Nova Scotia-based High Liner, which generates around two-thirds of its revenue from the US market, saw its Q1 sales value drop 16% to $277m due to the volume decline.
