I stopped having virtual coffee chats. Here’s why… At first, I thought it was a great way to connect—meet new people, exchange ideas. But here’s what actually happened: I’d spend 40+ minutes in a call where people either tried to sell me something or we’d chit-chat about everything except the real work. And as much as I love getting to know people, I found myself losing time that could’ve been spent serving my clients or building real business relationships. I had to be honest with myself. Time is my most valuable resource. So, I made a change. Now, when I get on a call, it’s with someone serious about collaboration or someone ready to buy. That’s it. No more “let’s grab virtual coffee” unless there’s a clear purpose. It’s not about being rude or uninterested in people’s stories—it’s about valuing time, both mine and theirs. If we’re talking, we’re moving forward together. For those who get it, I’m sure you’ll understand.
