🌍 Justice Across Boundaries at ITD 2024 in Utrecht 🌍 Excited to share that I’ll be co-leading a workshop at the "International Transdisciplinarity Conference 2024 (ITD 2024)" in Utrecht, Netherlands, where we’re bringing the theme of justice into focus from multiple, interconnected perspectives. Workshop Details: 📅 Date: Thursday, November 9, 2024 📍 Location: ITD 2024, Utrecht, NL, and online Further Info: https://lnkd.in/dtHbejGm In our workshop, From Unspoken to Outspoken: Making voices heard and practicing justice in transdisciplinary and transformative research, we build on insights from our "Doing Just This" - summer school in Leibzig to examine justice from various angles: e.g. environmental, spatial, procedural, participatory. This session isn't just about discussing justice; it’s an interactive experience designed to help participants *live* the complexity of justice. 🔎 Interactive Highlights: - Experiential Activities: Engage with scenarios that challenge traditional notions of fairness and equity, deepening understanding of justice in action. - Justice Mapping: Together, we’ll map different dimensions of justice and explore how they intersect, revealing gaps and synergies in current frameworks. - Dialogues Across Boundaries: Through guided small-group exchanges, participants will confront their assumptions and explore how justice varies across disciplines and lived experiences. Why Join Us? This is more than a workshop—it’s a unique space to examine justice beyond theoretical boundaries, exploring practical approaches to incorporate these perspectives into our work and communities. If you’re interested in building frameworks that embrace complexity and inclusivity, this session will provide new tools and insights for creating actionable change. Join us to connect, reflect, and reimagine what justice means across sectors. Let's explore how to embed justice in our practices in ways that are meaningful, lasting, and transformative. Looking forward to co-facilitate this workshop with Franziska Ehnert Neelakshi Joshi Marina Novikova Katrin Beer Kristina Bogner 🟥 Stefanie Burkhart Esther Jansen Jules Rochielle and to thought-provoking discussions and inspiring connections! ✨ #ITD2024 #Justice #TransdisciplinaryResearch #Sustainability #Workshop #InclusiveFutures #ParticipatoryJustice #EnvironmentalJustice #Innovation

Check out this amazing visual representation of the educational technology ecosystem posted by the University of Waterloo! This mind map is a good way to help visualize what we teachers have access to regarding educational technology and what each type of technology is useful for. I love how this mind map is broken down into four categories: student collaboration, communication with students, creating and sharing content, and assessing student work. This is a useful tool for every teacher to keep on hand as it highlights many amazing technological tools. As technology grows and we find even more tools we can continue to add to this list, or even make our own versions of mind maps similar to this one. With so many educational technologies it is hard to keep track of them all, having them all written down in one place is a big help. Be sure to check this out and save it for future reference! #Education #EdTech

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞? 🚀 At Erasmus University Rotterdam, we train future generations of innovators in the domain of Health and Technology. Today, Caroline Figueroa, MD PhD presented some of the most inspiring failures innovating in health care in Marilisa Boffo course "design of digital interventions" . From AI-based models with fatal gender bias to failing to show clinical evidence after years of development and testing. 💡 Her lessons. Digital health products shouldn't only appeal to consumers, but to a complicated landscape of stakeholders and investors. And without inclusive design, harmful biases may occur. 🦚 This is why we are so proud that she is one of our Protect Me (Health & Technology) consortium members. 👏 Do you want to learn more about inclusive design: Check out the universal design guide: https://lnkd.in/emz2RC6T Convergence Health & Technology Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB) Delft University of Technology #education #transdisciplinairy
