UCL Department of Geography reposted this
We're proud to share that UCL has secured the top position in the UK, 3rd in Europe, and 5th globally in the 2025 QS Sustainability Rankings. With an overall score of 98.6 out of 100, the rankings highlight UCL’s leadership in addressing global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. UCL excelled in several categories this year, including ranking 1st globally and in the UK for knowledge exchange. At UCL Innovation & Enterprise we work with UCL staff and students and organisations to turn knowledge and ideas into the solutions that benefit us all. Examples of our knowledge exchange work include: - Supporting student startup Phyta Biodesign with creating their garden wall system which transforms any exterior wall into a pollinator paradise for solitary bees. - UCL's partnership with the National Trust, Europe’s biggest conservation charity, is helping the heritage sector adapt to change, connect with more people, and embrace new practices. - Professor Mathias Disney from UCL Department of Geography, is measuring forest carbon in a consultancy project for the European Space Agency - ESA. - Oriole Networks, a UCLB-supported spinout, is pioneering the use of optical switching to create the fastest and most energy-efficient data processing.
