Something for the weekend? In this latest episode Jeremy and I have a very "wordy" conversation, where I ask lost of "what does that mean?" questions! What you will gain from listening then, is an understanding of research terminology. And this means that it will make research papers much easier to read, understand and interpret for use in your own practice. After all, if we don't implement what we learn (or stop doing what we learn doesn't work) then what is the purpose of research? This conversation also highlights that you really don't need to be an academic to get started. Finally, it is a real live example of making contact with someone who has published research you are interested in, and inviting a conversation. It stands to reason that, if you're interested in something that another human has been interested enough to spend weeks, months and years researching, the chances are, you will have plenty of common ground to explore! Enjoy the listen! #pracademic #coaching #research #evidencebasedpractice #podcast

Coaching, for me, is about helping people discover and explore all the unique aspects of themselves, so they can rely on themselves, and less on a coach! Possibly not the best business model (which might explain why I’m laughing in this podcast) In this episode, (3D Coaching Ltd. “The Coaching Inn” - link is below) we explore how coaching can support people’s wonderful individuality—helping them build their own sense of accountability and integrate it in a way that feels authentic. Through listening, questioning and reflection, coaching can be useful - to unlock deeper SELF-knowledge and growth, and personalise - and normalise - the triggers that can lead to setbacks .. and therefore prepare for them. Thanks to Claire Pedrick MCC for inviting me to speak, laugh and explore ideas alongside her with Beatrice Zornek PCC Listen on all major podcast platforms https://lnkd.in/eNJqhq3c #leadershipcoaching #executivecoaching #selfawareness #help #learning #coaching #coachingrelationships #endings #accountability #setbacks #selfawareness #coachingprocess #personalgrowth #coachinginsights #coachingresearch

How much should I charge for my coaching? This is a common question that we hear from new coaches and sadly, there isn’t a succinct answer. It can feel like a minefield when it comes to pricing, and we’re all looking for that ‘goldilocks’ amount that feels right for us, and also is acceptable to the coachees that we are attracting to our coaching space. We can’t tell you what you should be charging for your coaching, but we can help you reach your own right answer. In this week's podcast episode we talk through the different elements involved, from overcoming a reluctance to charge anything, to getting to grips with the cost of providing a coaching service, and then gaining an understanding of the true value of your coaching. Join us for an exploration of a coaching issue that we know many coaches find challenging. And feel free to share with other coaches, or aspiring coaches that you know. https://lnkd.in/epNy6ZKA

In episode 3 of the Awaken Voices podcast, Christi Byerly MCC and Evelyn Wolf explore the essence of coaching and the differences between coaching, mentoring, therapy, and consulting. Coaching is about loving disinterest, where the coach is fully present and curious about the coachee's experience without imposing their own beliefs or wisdom. The space that is created through this allowance helps the coachee to see themselves through the eyes of another without judgment which differentiates the coaching profession from other supporting professions. 🎧 Listen now on Podbean or on your usual podcast platform: https://lnkd.in/ek5GWM2j #Coaching #Podcast #CoachingBusiness #Coaches #CoachingSkills

When a coaching client comes to a session with their agenda ... ... what’s the best way to serve them? Should you imagine the conversation before hand and plan your approach? Should you take on their emotions and problems as your own? Should you step into performance mode and be the one with the answers? When I say it like that, it’s obviously a ‘No’, right? But when you’re new to coaching performance anxiety creeps in. You feel you should know … everything. It’s understandable and it’s counter to what’s really needed for an effective coaching session. Episode 285 of Prosperous Coach Podcast (link in comments) digs into the easiest way to shift out of performance mode and the #1 skill for coaching mastery too. How do you get out of the pressure cooker and fully present with clients?
