SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. Schools are, institutional firms and of course, management is a core aspect just like other firms, however, as a school owner or a hired manager/administrator, it is more vital to be aware of these administrative functions, best-suited offices and effectively carry out their functions. In as much as every single area in the day-to-day running of the school is important too, there are core areas that require more focus and attention for efficiency which are the administrative department. Take for instance the different levels of School administrators in a school setting. The tertiary institutions, like universities, colleges and so on, administration cuts across the office of the Vice-Chancellor/Rector... The Registrar, and admission officer, are the people who oversee the admission of students into the school and of course, carry out other administrative functions to ensure the effective running of the school. The administration also balls to the faculty dean and possibly other offices which affect administration. ### Understanding Administrative Review: What It Is and What It Isn't An administrative review allows individuals to contest decisions made on their applications, particularly if you believe an error has occurred, such as a refusal of your application or incorrect conditions and duration. You can apply for an administrative review in several categories, including: - Student - Graduate - Skilled Worker - Global Talent This process provides an opportunity for your application to be reassessed due to potential caseworker errors. However, it's important to note that the review is strictly based on the original application. No new evidence or additional information will be accepted, so you cannot submit anything that wasn't included in your initial submission. If you feel your application has been unjustly handled, consider exploring the administrative review options available to you. rk#rnplegalnews#rnplegalimmigration#rnplegalreporting#rnplegal#rk

An excellent discussion (and inventory of best practices) on the reality of compensations in IHEs. This is keenly felt at community colleges, and ironic too, because the art of teaching and learning is often most forward-thinking and developed, and effective management of scarce resources is well-honed at CCs.

The LNP has indicated a shift from reliance on external consultants and instead will upskill the public sector workforce if they win the Qld state election. If the LNP wins the Queensland election, they have signalled a shift away from reliance on consultants, focusing instead on upskilling the public sector workforce. “I want the public service to know that we are determined to end the days of farming everything out to the big four (consultants), we want to get traineeships again and do lots of them so young people can see a career path.” McCormack, Madura and O’Malley, Brendan. “LNP Leader says he ruled out mass public service redundancies 18 months ago". “The Courier Mail,22 Oct.2024. This raises the question: why haven’t public servants already been equipped with these skills; especially given the generous salaries many senior officials receive? Needless to say, and it follows that critics argue that inflated remuneration in the public sector should come with greater competency and expertise. Furthermore, the LNP's plan suggests a push for efficiency and self-reliance, highlighting a need for better internal capabilities to reduce outsourcing costs and improve accountability. Came across an interesting article the other day discussing Superintendent turnover in the US. It's crucial to understand the factors contributing to this trend, especially given the increase in turnover we experienced last year. Curious to hear thoughts from others in the field on this topic. #Georgia #Superintendent #Turnover https://lnkd.in/eHpVbnUk

part 6 STAND AND DELIVER THREE IMPERATIVES FOR CIVIL SERVANTS Rethink organization and talent attraction There is a public sector talent shortage around the world, the effects of which are amplified by the digital skills gap. In February 2024, the United States had approximately 8.8 million job openings, 10 percent of which were government jobs. However, only about 4 percent of hires were in government—leaving more than 500,000 government jobs unfilled.9 In the United Kingdom, the Public Accounts Committee estimates that the number of digital, data, and technology professionals in the civil service is 4.5 percent, less than half the number it needs compared with an equivalent industry average of between 8 and 12 percent.10 Both managerial and nonmanagerial civil servants report that digital skills are increasingly necessary for their learning and development, with 86 percent of countries ranking it in the top five for nonmanagers (the highest response) and 51 percent for senior managers (the second highest). To respond, governments can consider a talent agenda that matches the demands of this era, including the following elements: a refresh of the employee value proposition that captures what is special about working in government today, while reinforcing the essential role the public service plays in fostering public trust a coherent strategic workforce plan that invests in and ensures that the right capabilities are matched to the strategic goals of the organization a more diverse set of career pathways, rather than the traditional career ladder, that allows staff to develop the breadth of expertise needed to support a focus on policy and cabinet leadership a more contemporary operating model that balances speed and stability to allow governments to make the right decisions at the pace required, with a clear path to measuring and understanding how they are delivering on public expectations a leading position on diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to ensure that governments’ decision making is representative of the societies they serve, as well as to safeguard equitable service delivery Conclusively,Governments in many countries are at a turning point when it comes to gaining the public’s trust and achieving the satisfaction of consumers and businesses. Public sector leaders face considerable pressure from their constituents and stakeholders to improve socioeconomic growth and increase prosperity for the people they serve. Finally While governments face stiff challenges today, new technologies, business models, and practices offer unique opportunities to deliver services more efficiently, enabling civil servants to accomplish their mission of better serving the public in an era of empowered consumers.
