I've just had the best customer experience, booking a driver/guide to escort us around Sri Lanka in December. All it took was one good web page and one good email, and I converted (£600 spend so not an amount I spend lightly on things I'm unsure about) I looked at 2 or 3 sites, all the others gave me niggles of doubt. This one didn't. I enquired (well-designed usable form ✅), got a personal email (fast) with every bit of info I wanted. Deal done. An object lesson in the value of good design, good content and thinking about what the customer WANTS. That is how you convert people fast, by putting them into a state of high confidence and trust. If you're interested this is the site I used: https://lnkd.in/ePSDBRcW Well done them, putting a lot of Western businesses to shame!

At the beginning of this concept around five years ago, there was only the idea of doing something for the company and the people, and so five properties on Lake Balaton were purchased, which are now owned by the company. As the concept development progressed, however, it became clear that there is a global need that needs to be met because many people around the world cannot afford a week's holiday because the big internet companies are constantly driving up prices, and that needs to be changed, but that can only be done in a large community together, and of course someone will make a bit of money from it, but that is legitimate because it is only a bit of money, and the concept involves a lot of work, but the big companies want to maximize their profits more and more, and together we can do something about it. That is the basic idea of bungalow parks in Europe. Over the years, we have developed a concept that is viable and that will benefit everyone involved in the long term, both the holidaymakers and the operators. All the good, important things in our lives require work because everything that is quick and easy has not a long life.

https://lnkd.in/g_X7cb4f Thanks to #instagram for this eye opening post! Serious issue...! #mytake: Space & Time? Are we closing our eyes to this new evolving equation! Amenities, Technology etc,. when made #available @ #affordable cost, #accessibility of destinations on time has become a range #unpredictable, unless planned to include bottle neck self arrested exercise twice a day least, inhaling fumes...! All metro cities have this compelling issue everyone need to face, be it Students, Parents, Office Goers, Delivery boys, Commuters, Supply Vehicles, City Buses, Pick ups and so on. Roads can't be repaired or maintained as traffic stays awake even during wee hours on important roads connecting main road and Highway! Going back to 2 wheeler days or small cars may be an option! Taxi guy tells me commuting 20 km even with his expertise & new vehile, can't predict exactly when we would reach, but between 45 mnts to an hour! I mentally added another 15 mnts! SPEED is a Dream. Don't Rush in a Rush! Take care!

HELLO FRIENDS GOOD AFTERNOON 😊 THIS IS 🌞KET MANAGER & CONTENT WRITER #BIGOBASKET SACHIN TAK BEHALF SALESACHIN #FOODICPUNE #PUNEPANDA March 31st 'Bhik Mago' agitation by railway passenger unions; Mountain of problems on Karjat, Kasara, Kalyan road. Trains like Vande Bharat are being run for the rich. No more local ferries have been operating for the last few years. Thane: Railway passengers on Karjat, Kasara and Kalyan lines are not getting basic basic facilities for the last few years. Local traffic is being disrupted due to long distance trains and freight trains. Trains like Vande Bharat are being run for the rich. No more local ferries have been operating for the last few years. Long distance trains generate more revenue. Therefore, as the reply is being given by the railway administration that they are given priority, the Kalyan Kasara Karjat Railway Passengers Association is going to hold a Bhik Mango protest in all the railway stations on 31st March. The money collected from this will be given to the Divisional Managers of Central Railway. Except for one or two stations on the Kalyan to Kasara-Karjat route, all the railway stations have been decommissioned. The already limited local services on these routes continue to run late on a daily basis. Passengers say this is due to the preference given to long-distance and Vande Bharat trains. Local congestion and accidents due to unsafe travel have also increased. Inadequate police manpower, ticket checking and cleaning staff on these routes has increased the travel burden. Many places do not have toilet facilities for women passengers. Stool cavities have become a huge problem on these routes. from which accidents are occurring. Pedestrian bridges where required have not been constructed. Therefore, crossing the railway line has become inevitable. There are no protective walls along the railway tracks. The station does not have the necessary fans, toilets and drinking water facilities. All these problems are faced by common travelers of this area. The railway administration is said to be perpetually short of funds. We have also made CRS funds available to the railway administration in some stations on behalf of the passenger association. Due to the many oppressive conditions and lack of coordination, no private company or firm refrains from coming forward for this help. Therefore, we will beg the passengers at every station on March 31 and hand over whatever money we collect to the Divisional Railway Managers so that some of the major works in our area which are stalled due to lack of funds can be carried out. We know that begging is a crime. However, as there is no other option, we are undertaking this campaign, so we request you not to obstruct it. The president of the organization Rajesh Ghanagaon said that the collected funds should be used only for the mentioned work.

1. Hundreds of little things This is my last post in this short series on roads in Indonesia. Find the seires at https://lnkd.in/gsBGuUh8 Back on 12 September 2023 I posted an article entitled “Hundreds of little things to help traffic.” I started by saying: Most traffic jams in Bali (and in most places in Indonesia) can be blamed on a short list of problems. That short list has been the basis of this series of posts. What I intended last September is that, just as important as the big things to do, there are hundreds of little things that need to be done, and little things need a different way of working than the way road agencies normally work.. (a) Hundreds of little improvements to footpaths and planting of trees, to make it attractive and safe to walk, as the most important thing to reduce traffic (b) Hundreds of little improvements to signage to change signage from rules to obey, to guides to good behaviour when driving (c) Hundreds of little improvements at all street junctions to make traffic run smoother, including extra lanes to enable more traffic through on green lights (d) Hundreds of little improvements to provide alternatives to parking on roads. This will need changes to local land use plans and projects with communities. (e) Hundreds of little improvements to road drainage, though some roads will need to be rebuilt. However expensive this is, the money will be returned in a few years by savings in road maintenance (f) Hundreds of little improvements to make bike riding safer. (g) Hundreds of new cameras to automate catching traffic offenders so police will spend more time guiding traffic and catching repeat offenders Now is the time for a new way of organising work on roads, away from new roads and road maintenance, to coordinated hundreds of little things done in coordination with communities. It is time to think about how to plan and contract and coordinate such work. And the right time to change that way of planning and contracting and coordinating hundreds of little things, is to learn from Jakarta. They have done hundreds of little things for making roads better. And anyone who looks at what they have done in Jakarta can do better than them. Jakarta changed its approach on the orders of the Governor. And this year everyone will have new governors, regents and mayors. So let us hear the promises, the believable promises, of what candidates will do if elected later this year in a new approach to make roads like they should be, safe and functional for all. Each of the hundreds of little things looks easy, but are only possible with good leadership and much collaboration.

We will see heaps more of this too.. when you can get a licence and not have ever driven at night, on gravel roads, on rural roads, in inclement weather, at 100 or have ever driven longer distance and all you have to do is drive around the block it will back up everything I've said about drivers not being properly prepared for the task of driving. One-day they will figure out it's not just about the road.. it's about the experience and behaviour of those using it. To combat this we need industry assessing (light unit standards) used over a drivers restricted licencing time done in person where needed and online (yes, qualified learning designer, driver trainer, psychology graduate and adult educator speaking here.. dont forget that please) a log book of driving experience maintained during this time AND assessor capable of assessing and passionate about the job.. not this bullshit and jelly beans we have now. Regional / area driving schools that employ trainers need establishing along with a short roads track with all the hazards, set up low speed manouver area and all vehicles available for use when the student doesn't have access this starts a student off but they get lessons on the road once they have the ability to control the vehicle in a safe manner. These schools need to be government owned because the life of one person who has set this up is too short.. they need to be legacy places. People need teaching properly not just a slap dash.. ah, you can drive around the block you're good to go. Assessing should be done by people who have come through a driving instructor pathway and have trained to use and fully understand the delivery and application if a unit standard. Until then.. many, many more of these crashes will happen and all they will do is lower limits and build barriers that all contribute to massive cost and unintended consequences.
