Not a joke: FIU's stadium will be renamed to "Pitbull Stadium."
If you're an entertainer with extreme upside via your personal brand, this is a no-brainer alternative to team ownership, right?
From Josh Goldberg: "Pitbull will also have his branded vodka, Voli 305, sold at games. He will be allowed to use the football stadium for 10 days a year with the rental fee waived. Additionally, he'll have two reserved suites for every FIU football home game for up to 40 people."
✅ Saves you the trouble of having to tell people you're a big deal (the name kinda does that for you).
✅ Nobody will forget that you're associated with the team (again, the name).
✅ 10 days/year is plenty to have a few pickup games, let your buddy have his wedding on the field, and maybe do your fantasy draft on the big screen.
✅ 40 people/game is sufficient to make the in-laws happy.
All of that on $6M in spend - if it creates $18M in influenced revenue within the 5-year time period, you've hit the same return ownership would have created (not trying to get into a tax conversation).
