🦃A Thanksgiving Reflection on the Privilege of Caring This Thanksgiving, while many gather with loved ones around the table, I’ll be working. And though I sometimes feel the pull of FOMO for the laughter and connection of framily (not a typo) dinners, I know this: it’s not a sacrifice. On this day of gratitude, I’m reflecting on one of (my) life’s greatest honors: the privilege of caring for others. In healthcare, we are invited into people’s lives during their most vulnerable moments—times of joy, fear, hope, or uncertainty. What stays with me are not grand gestures, but quiet, profound ones: holding a hand in the ICU (YES- touch is powerful), offering words of comfort, or simply being present when someone needs to know they’re not alone. These moments remind me that caring for others is not just a profession—it’s a calling. This Thanksgiving, I’m deeply grateful for: ✨The patients who trust us to walk alongside them. ✨The families who remind us of the power of love and resilience. ✨The colleagues who embody compassion and dedication every day. (You know who you are!) ✨ MY health (as imperfect as it is) Healthcare is hard, but it is also deeply meaningful. It teaches us about connection, courage, and the shared humanity that binds us all. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let’s remember the power of care, the importance of gratitude, and the impact we can have when we show up for one another. Happy Thanksgiving to all who care, who heal, and who love. #Thanksgiving2024 #Gratitude #HealthcareHeroes #PatientCare #Personalgrowth #Medicine #Compassion #Resilience #CareMatters #HumanConnection #Thankful #HealthcareProfessionals #leadership #LinkedInCommunity

🌿 Exciting News: Care Cottage Crates Is Here! 🌿 After being laid off in August, I found myself reflecting deeply on what truly matters—connection, care, and those small but powerful moments that remind us we’re not alone. That reflection led my sister and I to launch Care Cottage Crates. Colleen Rodenbeck and I have spent years navigating the demands of the corporate world, and we know firsthand how hard it can be to find time to show love and care—for others and for yourself. Deadlines, meetings, and endless to-do lists often leave little room for nurturing meaningful connections or taking a moment to recharge. That’s why we created Care Cottage Crates—to help busy, caring individuals save time while sharing thoughtful, intentional gifts that offer the recipient (or even yourself) a much-needed moment of calm, care, and connection. Inside each crate, you’ll find carefully chosen hand made or designed items, a card with a gentle prompt to inspire connection, and a curated playlist to encourage pause and reflection. Every detail is designed to remind you—or the recipient—to take a deep breath, recharge, and savor the moment. ✨ What’s Next: While we’re dreaming big for 2025, including meaningful corporate gifting solutions, we’d love to be part of your holiday season this year. Whether it’s a heartfelt gift for a team member, loved one, or even yourself, we’re here to make those moments of care easy and memorable. I’d be so grateful for your support as we build this dream into something special. If you’d like to follow along, join our newsletter for updates, inspiration, and a little behind-the-scenes magic. Newsletter sign up link in comments ✨ Thank you to my incredible network of friends, partners, teammates, founders, and leaders—you’ve inspired me more than you know. I can’t wait to share what’s next. #CareCottageCrates #NewBeginnings #IntentionalLiving #ThoughtfulGifting

The much-awaited holiday season is set to kickstart with Thanksgiving. A time to have a hearty meal with family and feel gratitude for the blessings in life and the abundance of nature’s harvest, the ancient festival of Thanksgiving dates centuries back. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, this year it’s celebrated on 28 November. Thanksgiving is all about gratitude and celebration of unity and abundance. While it started out as a harvest festival and to express gratitude to nature for abundance, it has evolved into a modern-day festival rooted in gratitude for family, health, and achievements. Here are some Thanksgiving traditions you can start: - Share gratitude: Reflect on the year and share what you're thankful for with family and friends. - Have a traditional meal: Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without a traditional Thanksgiving meal. - Have a Friendsgiving: Thanksgiving is usually celebrated with family, but it's also important to give thanks with friends. Happy Thanksgiving Week #Grateful #givethanksalways #thankfulnovember #holidayseason #friendsgiving #thanksgivingweek #sharinggratitude #celebratingunity #celebratingabundance #traditions #gratefulforblessings
