The Latina LinkedIn Incubator kicks off today! Last month, when I hosted the Latina Visibility Challenge, an incubator wasn't even in my mind. I wanted Latinas to show up and make themselves seen and heard and to do it by leveraging our cultural value of comunidad. The results were amazing! But it was mostly the inner transformation I was witnessing that left me in awe. My journey on LinkedIn began as a practice of showing up, connecting with others, and building my writing capacity. (I am a writer at ❤️) I did start meeting amazing people (collabs, partnerships, friends, colleagues, etc) and opportunities started showing up but the thing I did not expect was how much my CONFIDENCE grew as a result of putting myself out here on the LinkedIn streets. Soon the writing I once thought was hard was easy but video was a whole other challenge! Again, I went outside of my comfort zone and did 30 days of videos (Thanks to my Coach Shanee Moret) and now it's no big deal. Then she encouraged me to do solo livestreams and again that was scary to me but I COMMITTED and did it. Every time it was scary af but I looked at it as a win, even if the video was messy or I said too many um's or likes, or I didn't do something because I was committed to PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION. You gain confidence through courage and competence. Courage + Competence/Repeated Skill Building = Confidence Mastering LinkedIn is so much more than getting likes. I could tell go on and on but better to listen to these mujeres who participated in the Latina Visibility Challenge tell you about it. And this is how the LinkedIn Incubator was born. I have a few spots open and it starts today. DM me if you're interested in joining. We start today at 1pm EST. https://lnkd.in/e2V9vz4s

Kindness is crucial to value creation. In fact, our research shows that 47% of companies considered 'kind' doubled their earnings in the past decade. Just 35% of 'unkind' companies did the same. But how can organisations be deliberate and sustainable about delivering tangible value creation? Traditional approaches to value creation often need to be short-term, financial and shareholder-focused, and this can sometimes be at the expense of employees, customers and society - all points that lean potentially towards being 'unkind'. That’s not new news for those driving value creation agendas. But increasingly, successful companies create value by taking a more holistic, enterprise-wide view and considering a broader set of stakeholders. All too often, external reports get written specifying a particular level of value, yet what materialises falls short – largely because the recommendations aren’t realistic and the organisation doesn’t have the support to execute what needs to be done. At Baringa, we help companies narrow the gap between the ‘say’ and the ‘do’ – the expected value and the reality of what gets delivered.
Baringa believes corporate #kindness is not just the nice thing to do, it's also a smart business strategy. Ken Sterling, Esq., MBA, writing in Forbes and quoting our research, agrees. https://lnkd.in/eJbE7yaU For more on Baringa's kindness research, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eKXaCQ5P #economicsofkindness

To the People of Quebec: The Quebec Bar Association and Lawyers’ Liability Insurers: Institutions Complicit in Injustice It is time to expose a truth that directly affects the people of Quebec: the Quebec Bar Association and lawyers’ liability insurers enable unethical acts, and even crimes, by lawyers against their clients. These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a system where incompetence and collusion are not only tolerated but encouraged. Why? Because it fuels a cynical profit model, prioritizing the enrichment of lawyers and their insurers far above the justice citizens deserve. Climbing the Profit Ladder: At What Cost? Quebec lawyers, protected by their syndicate, engage in behaviors that exploit systemic flaws: • Deliberate Incompetence: Lawyers mishandle or sabotage cases, forcing clients to hire multiple lawyers to complete the work one competent lawyer should handle. • Abusive Billing Practices: Errors and delays become excuses to inflate billable hours, turning the pursuit of justice into a financial burden. • Institutional Protection: The Bar protects these lawyers under the guise of self-regulation, making it nearly impossible for clients to seek recourse. A Syndicate Complicit in Injustice The Bar, tasked with regulating the profession and ensuring lawyers’ integrity, has become complicit. By deliberately failing to sanction unethical lawyers, it sends a clear message: money comes before justice. • Lack of Transparency: Client complaints are handled in secrecy, with lawyers rarely held accountable. • Systemic Abuse: Lawyers, knowing they are protected, continue unethical practices without fear of consequences. The Moment of Truth: Exposing the Quebec Bar I am taking responsibility to expose these injustices to the public. The citizens of Quebec have a right to know that the system meant to protect their interests betrays them daily. These institutions must be held accountable. My Commitment: 1. Inform the Public: Publish concrete facts about systemic abuses by lawyers and the Bar. 2. Expose Unacceptable Practices: Through my upcoming book, I will highlight the system’s failures and the victims left without recourse. 3. Demand Reform: Advocate for an independent body to oversee and discipline lawyers, free from the Bar’s influence. A Call for Justice for All Quebec’s legal system can no longer operate as a private club where only lawyers and their insurers benefit. Justice belongs to the people, and it is time for the citizens of Quebec to demand real change. Truth and justice will PREVAIL!!!
