Here's a manual, but simple, way to fix 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞's way of showing freeform questions in printed and xAPI reports by what they are, such as Pick Many or Drag and Drop, instead of displaying a useful name. 1. After you publish your Storyline course, go into the output folder: html5 / data / js 2. Locate the data JavaScript file. 3. Make a backup copy. Always! 4. Open the data file in something like Notepad. 5. Search on the question type names you want to replace, such as Pick Many. 6. Replace that default name with something meaningful, such as the question name. 7. Do this for all your freeform questions. 8. Save the data file. 9. Zip the published folder and upload as you normally would.  Viola! Your meaningful name will now appear in the data reports instead of that default name. Unfortunately, you will have to do this each time you republish, so you might want to wait until final delivery. But, it's worth the effort when your report names mean something. Maybe one day soon Articulate will fix this common issue in their coding. In the meantime though, no more "Jane correctly answered Pick Many."

MOODLE... Do I have anyone in my network currently using Moodle (or with recent experience) who would be willing to have a chat with a contact of mine who's considering switching over to it? Key questions would likely be around initial set-up, costs, and use of assignments. Please comment here or drop me a message if you might be able to help with any of the above - thanks! The Evolution of AI and Education Remember back to the early 2010s when LMS platforms really started to take off? At first, there were a few that dominated the market, and now there are well over 3,000 LMS platforms! It's interesting to watch the evolution of AI for education. Some of them go across sectors (schools, vocational and higher ed). It's interesting that some of them are really good at performing certain tasks whilst others are more general. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same things again and again and expecting different results. Yet we continue to tackle the immense global problem of increasing digital learning standards by by and large doing the same thing - give teachers a training session and they'll be grand! As a former teacher, I can tell you that sitting down to listen to someone after a long day teaching and being expected to absorb all of what they say and then get it back out of your head into my students heads via a differentiated and engaging lesson...well it's fair to say that it didn't always go so well. If you're not already in agreement with me, you just have to Google 'do one off training sessions work?' to see for yourself. This podcast snippet looks at how Olus Education are revolutionising training by enabling teachers to learn alongside their students. Yes, training sessions are still impactful and they can work - but all learning is a journey. And Olus schools are the only schools I have seen where training impacts every student, or training never even takes place in the first place - the teachers learn alongside the students.
