"I'll never be one of those coaches who coaches coaches." Welp. That didn't age well. You know the type of person I'm talking about. The course creator selling courses about creating courses. The LinkedIn guru teaching you how to be a LinkedIn guru. The guy who hosts a webinar that teaches you how to host webinars. For years, it felt like a pyramid scheme with extra steps. Then something interesting happened. People kept asking me to help them build their keynote talks. Not just a few requests. A flood of them. I ignored them. For years (literally). Stiff-armed every "can you help me with my talk?" email or DM. But this year, I got out of my own way and stopped ignoring what people were asking for. And it turns out I love this work. Like, really dig it. And I'm a beast at it. I nerd out using my journalism background and speaking experience to help craft unforgettable talks with brilliant people. Helping them shape their life experience and professional expertise into something extraordinary. Watching them command stages they never thought possible. The results have been impressive. Here's what I'm realizing makes my work different (and why I finally leaned into it): I'm not some retired speaker living off past glory. After 10 years and nearly 300 talks across the globe, I've earned the right to teach this. And I'm still doing it. Still in the trenches, on the road almost every week, on stages testing what works. Still getting better. Still proving what's possible. That's the difference between teaching from experience and teaching from theory. Sometimes the work finds you. Even when you resist it. Come say hello: https://lnkd.in/gn4BAEer --- I'm Antonio Neves. I'm a professional storyteller and question asker. I help people like you turn their life experience and professional expertise into unforgettable (paid) keynotes.
Love this bro. Would love to work with you to improve mine. Let’s talk next year.
I love that you are still in the trenches while also teaching the work. Many coaches/consultants I see out there seem to be running a gig while in their retirement. Also, I constantly want to rag on coaches coaching coaches, but I'm terrified of speaking my mind because I'm worried that "it won't age well." 🤣
There's a lot to be said for teaching others how to do what you do. That's building a legacy and eventually passing a torch that they'll never forget where it came from. And you have fun doing it - that's the key and I feel like is rare. The difference between I HAVE to and I GET to You're a freaking beast, my friend!
I hear this concern and I feel it too - I sell a paid subscription about how to run paid subscriptions lmao - but I also think there's a lot to be said for walking the walk and showing others how you did it
I know this all too well Antonio Neves! You can resist, but what you are meant to do will always come back to kick you in the butt!
But what if you are one of those coaches who coaches coaches who also coach coaches? That would be the pinnacle, right? I love your approach. Still getting better. Still proving what’s possible.
Hey if people are asking it would be a disservice not to help.
Just Confirming this statement “And I'm a beast at it.”… Antonio Neves has this “super power” where he makes your time with him personal, fun & mind blowing! I recommend making an appointment & then buckle up!
You ARE an incredible storyteller- love that book of yours Antonio Neves

1dTony, this post hit me on so many levels. It’s amazing how the work we’re meant to do has a way of finding us—even when we resist it for years! How you’re leaning into this calling is such a powerful reminder of the value in staying true to our craft and being open to what the world asks of us. As a publisher and fellow storyteller, I deeply relate to the joy of helping others shape their life experiences into something extraordinary. It’s a privilege to guide people as they unlock the potential of their story—whether it’s through a book or, in your case, commanding a stage. I admire your commitment to staying in the trenches and continually testing what works. That’s real leadership. Keep inspiring and challenging us to embrace our gifts and step into new opportunities my man!
