The filming for 'Operation Annandale' is going well, we have captured some amazing footage of the bottles in the warehouse. Jason Fox is set to choose the whisky today for the first bottling/edition of Operator. I wonder which one he will go for.... A few amazing single cask, single malt offerings for him to choose from this morning. One of the more interesting factors that shapes a whiskey's final flavour is something that you hear being talked about much more frequently stateside than you do in other whiskey making regions - barrel entry proof - or the strength at which the liquid enters the cask. The majority of whiskey makers have long adhered to historical norms and legal limits "this is how we've always done it" but new research and a boom in innovation due to so many new distilleries popping up is challenging some of these conventions. One of the most interesting being the Maker's Mark DNA Series: a series of four bottles at cask-strength, the difference between each bottle being the barrel-entry proof of the distillate. This article from SevenFifty Daily does a great job diving into the topic. #barrelorcask #whiskeyorwhisky #entryproof https://lnkd.in/gqa_P35X

Bourbon is one of those spirits that seems to be constantly growing in popularity over the years, with many distilleries experiencing both rise and fall. Antique Bourbon was one of the most popular bourbons produced by the Frankfort Distilling Company. Founded in 1902, the distillery was one of six authorized to continue making medicinal whiskey during Prohibition. After changing ownership several times, the distillery closed in the 1960s under the Seagram banner. This page-a-day calendar represents one of our earlier works, created seven years into our ongoing 68-year (and counting) journey. Like the train depicted on this display, we keep on chugging. #AntiqueBourbon #DisplayManufacturing #PlasticManufacturing #TBT #MercuryPlastics
