The secret to making your firm unforgettable is... I wanted to build on yesterday’s post and provide more detail on how I think you should look at brand. Its a strategic tool for growing your firm’s relevance, reputation, and visibility—essential for long-term growth. Yet, too many firms don’t invest at scale, limiting their reach to a small client set or a close network. But scaling your visibility is crucial. Your firm should be in front of decision-makers repeatedly, across client bases, not just through networks but via impactful digital channels this scale is not possible in person. Relevance: In a crowded market, relevance means addressing clients’ unique challenges, positioning your firm as a thought leader and trusted advisor. Consistent, high-quality content and industry insights build this connection. Reputation: Your reputation is still your most valuable asset, as it was 200 years ago. It’s about being known for the right reasons—delivering exceptional service, ethical standards, and showcasing success through case studies, all in front of the right audience to stay top-of-mind. But now you can build this reputation at scale. Visibility: This is about omnipresence. Leveraging digital marketing, social media, and public relations ensures you’re always where potential clients look. Events, publications, and networks amplify this impact. In today’s competitive landscape, this investment isn’t optional. Let’s move past the traditional “brand” idea to focus on what drives real, lasting impact—building relevance, reputation, and visibility to help your firm grow. #marketingforgrowth

Social media strategy for Professional Services ♦️ Working with the Marketing Managers and leaders of PS/FS/B2B firms ♦️ Strategy maker & mentor ♦️ Once rode an ostrich
The research is out. Here are the 5 things that clients said law firms should do to make it easier to choose one: 1. Clear and transparent information 2. Accessibility and communication 3. Trust and honesty 4. Good service and experience 5. 💥 Advertising and online presence 💥 The age of research participants ranged from 18 to 80. The younger participants placed a higher value on law firms having an online presence – 66% of under 30s expect you to be active on social media (compared to just 18% of over 60s). As you might expect. But the point is still worth making. Generation Z (currently aged 12-27) is projected to make up nearly 30% of the labour force by 2025 (World Economic Forum). And they expect to find you and get a feel for you via social media. Like it or not, the future of your firm is in the hands of that cohort, and you will be judged on that online presence – or lack thereof – before they’ve even considered making contact. It’s never been more important to invest in social media marketing. Thankfully, there is reward on the other side of your effort. Social media marketing – when guided by strategy – evens the playing field between small and large companies, providing those with small marketing budgets enormous opportunity. Opportunity to: ✅ find prospective clients, ✅ connect directly with them, ✅ learn about their habits, interests, attitudes and preferences ✅ strike up meaningful conversations, ✅ build relationships, ✅ convert those relationships into sales, ✅ and ultimately nurture advocacy. As well as: ✅ Build a strong employer brand that attracts the top talent ✅ Establish credibility and thought leadership ✅ Manage the firm’s reputation ✅ Cement trust ✅ Build long term demand for your services Pretty compelling stuff. Drop me a DM if you’d like a free, no obligation call to discuss your strategy (or lack thereof 😉). #ProfessionalServices #SocialMediaMarketing #SocialMediaStrategy #GenZ Source: “What do clients want, need and expect?” by the Law Firm Marketing Club. The last few years have certainly been tough - both in business and personally. With Covid, the cost-of-living crisis, a recession, and recruitment issues all posing potential (and unprecedented) challenges for companies 💰 We get it. Costs have to be cut and sacrifices have to be made. But getting rid of PR should never be an option in turbulent times… Of course we’re going to say that. We are a PR agency after all, so we’d be pretty stupid not to. But there are so many reasons why PR is even more necessary when a business is struggling. Check out this blog from the archives, which delves into why strategic PR should always be integral to your business: https://lnkd.in/eQXrrdqd #TurbulentTimes #BusinessChallenges #PowerofPR #AccordingtoZen #StrategicPR
