IT jobs growth remained flat in November, as noted in TechServe Alliance’s monthly IT Employment Index. Mark Roberts, TechServe Alliance CEO, notes: “While IT hiring overall has not yet accelerated, critical IT domains such as AI and Machine Learning, as well as Security and Cybersecurity continue to remain strong. With the U.S. graduating just over 100,000 computer science graduates annually and anticipating downward pressure on high-skilled immigration in the coming years, there will be a long-term shortage of talent as the growth rate for computer and mathematical occupations is projected to be more than twice the national average for all occupations over the next 10 years. Consequently, we believe that despite the moderating labor pressure on employers in the short term, long-term demand for IT skills will continue to outpace supply.” Access the full index here: https://hubs.la/Q02_rmDz0 #ITemployment #ITjobs #jobsreport #ITstaffing

The tech industry is advancing rapidly, yet a major challenge looms — the skills gap. As AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data science continue to evolve, the demand for tech talent outpaces the supply of skilled professionals. This gap is creating a bottleneck for companies eager to innovate and grow due to shortage of qualified candidates and technological advancements outpacing the education system. But how can companies bridge the gap? 1. Invest in Continuous Learning: Offer internal training, certifications, and upskilling programs to current employees. 2. Collaborate with Educational Institutions: Partner with universities and bootcamps to develop curricula that align with industry needs. 3. Hire for Potential, Not Just Experience: Focus on hiring adaptable, problem-solving individuals who can learn and grow with the company. 4. Leverage Tech Contractors: Bring in contractors to fill immediate skills needs while longer-term talent strategies are developed. By focusing on training, collaboration, and flexible hiring strategies, companies can stay ahead of the tech curve and bridge the skills gap — creating a future-ready workforce. #recruitment #tech #skillsgap
