At Team4Tech’s Design for Impact Event this September, employee volunteers from various organizations can leverage a human-centered design process to collaborate, ideate, and design solutions with education-focused nonprofit organizations. ❓One design question that participating volunteers will tackle to support our Ghana-based nonprofit partner Africa ICT Right is, “How can Africa ICT Right better tell our story in order to reach different audiences (funders, beneficiaries, etc.)?” 🇬🇭Africa ICT Right provides digital opportunities to learners in under-resourced communities, offering programming to create technological solutions in areas where the digital equity gap is most pronounced. ➡️Your team can help answer Africa ICT Right’s design question with tech-driven solutions at this one-day virtual event. 🌍✨ For many of us in Europe, fast and reliable internet is a daily norm—something we hardly think about. But in many parts of Africa, this is still a significant challenge. Limited connectivity impacts education 📚, business 💼, and daily communication 📞, creating barriers to progress and opportunity. The internet is a lifeline for accessing information, connecting with others, and driving innovation 🚀. Ensuring equitable access to the internet is not just about technology; it's about fostering diversity, inclusion, and equity 🌈. When everyone has the same opportunities to connect and learn, we can unlock the full potential of individuals and communities. Equitable access means that every student, regardless of their location, has the same chance to succeed 📈. That's why we at the NGO Small Village of Botswana have decided to provide internet access for 18 months to a local school 🏫 through our collaboration with local charities. 📖✨. Just like a herd of elephants thrives when every member is supported and cared for, our community will flourish when everyone has access to the internet and thus to the wider world and the opportunities. Happy elephants make a happy herd, and connected students make a stronger community 🐘 🌐❤️. 💫 Which Country should we come to next? Connecting and amplifying the voices of young people across the continent is a core value of the African Youth Philanthropy Network (AYPN). Here’s a glimpse into our #AYPNConnect West Africa convening! We had an incredible time engaging with young leaders from the region, learning about their impactful work, and advancing the mission of youth-led philanthropy across Africa. Innovative initiatives like ILMIHA and Fastaffer, founded by Samiha Yunus and Kelechi Ali, took center stage. These projects are making waves by bridging data gaps in development programs and leveraging digital platforms to combat youth unemployment across the continent. #AYPNConnect #EcosystemBuilding #AfricanDevelopment

I’m thrilled to announce that our website officially launched this morning! For the past 4 years, I’ve been a part of the NGO Connecting 30, and we’ve finally launched a website for our non-Japanese locations. Connecting 30 is a unique community-building model that brings together 30 local stakeholders, fostering peer relationships through our gatherings. This neutral platform facilitates cross-sector collaborations among government, nonprofits, and businesses. While collaborations between two sectors are common, we believe that true impact requires all three sectors working together. Our first focus area is #Phoenix, AZ. We had a soft launch in May, and this month, we’re fully rolling out. We call this model #WeavingNest because we want people to #weave their own custom-made #nests with others who share similar interests and resources, rather than trying to fit into existing models. Because really, how often do we truly feel at #home outside of our family environments? This thought-provoking approach frees us to connect with those we might never have met otherwise. How did it all start? The initiative began in response to the 2011 disaster, where 18,000 lives were lost instantly. More of this story is shared on our website. Website: https://lnkd.in/gRzieq2R We’ve made significant progress over the past year, and this is the first time we’ve established a hub for upcoming events, open resources, and more. On this website, you can access a decade of accumulated knowledge and implementation results. Our ultimate goal is to create collective impact within communities, so we’ve made our model openly accessible as a resource.

"We need technology in every classroom...it's the pen and paper of our time." - David Warlick At Project-4 Lab Initiative, we couldn't agree more! We are equipping young learners in rural communities with essential digital skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. Join us in closing the digital literacy divide! Together, let's equip the next generation to be leaders, innovators, and global citizens. Numbers!- A major headache for emerging non profits organisations across Africa? Whatever that happens in the programming process of a non governmental organisation, the success story always has to mention the “number of beneficiaries reached”.In any conversation, organisations are always asked about the “number of years” they have existed. While this is important,it will make organisations chase the numbers than the impact. But is impact measured in numbers? ,I would not know, never been into M and E,but I have worked at a grassroots level and have witnessed communities defining and co-creating their own success stories! So many brilliant emerging organisations have a huge mission, they do not have the much needed numbers but they are rallying behind the much needed causes. Numbers Numbers Numbers! Now this calls for flexible funding,a mechanism in which young emerging groups are trusted to deliver, they know their community, they spend their time there, they know what impact is,they are at the forefront!

Intentional programming is key, and I'm excited to share how one of our partners is making it happen. Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas (CCNEK) has launched a Digital Access Resource Hub (https://lnkd.in/gDZF4j_b) to empower refugees with essential tech resources in multiple languages. This initiative tackles barriers like language and technology access, equipping refugees with the digital skills they need for job searches and training opportunities. This hub is more than just a set of tools—it's about creating pathways to self-sufficiency. It offers guidance on online safety, video conferencing, and job searching. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the CCNEK team, this resource is a crucial step in supporting the success and self-sufficiency of new Kansans. As we expand our services, this hub represents a key strategy in helping refugees build brighter futures and thrive in their new communities. #KansasNewcomers #DigitalLiteracy #DigitalAccess #LanguageLearning
