Today I'm on my way to Unify's offsite in Arizona. We're celebrating having grown 21x y/y year-to-date, and stepping back to do 2025 planning. I spent 10 hours yesterday pulling together slides to share with the team. The big question we'll be strategizing around the next couple days: how do we 10x+ in 2025? Hiring managers (and VCs): If you're going to hire for logos or invest for logos, be sure to do logo of a particular vintage. Hiring for Paul Bucheit-esque Google PM/engineer requires Google of that vintage. (If you're NOT hiring for logos, good thing!)

When I looked at Adobe’s Job Description for the sales manager role, I was happy. I was ticking all the boxes under desired skills and qualifications. Prospecting. Client relationships. Collaboration. This role was for me. 2 years in the role, I realized I was wrong. JD and all is fine but what really sets you apart here is not 10 points written in the JD. The ability to Be Genuine. Take ownership. Create the future and Raise the Bar. Everyone at Adobe lives by these 4 core values. It is what sets us apart. I try to: 1. Be Genuine by being myself. By putting in efforts sincerely, without pleasing anyone. 2. Raise the Bar by aiming for the moon. I might fail, but I learn. 3. Create the future by being proactive and not reactive. 4. Own the outcome by taking responsibility of my failures and success. I am still a long way from perfection. But I know I will get there.
