Marketing Tip Run Attractive Promotions Running promotions on products or services can bring in both sales and marketing opportunities in the form of email signups, followers, shares, and likes. Everybody wants something, and most just want a quality product at a reasonable price. But there are those that will be waiting for a sale or to stack your smaller promos with larger ones for the best deal.

The old way of marketing vs the new way of marketing ❌ OLD: Concinvce people you have what they need ✅ NEW: Find prospects who have an unmet need ❌ OLD: Social selling and yelling ✅ NEW: Social listening and understanding ❌ OLD: Capturing leads and blasting with your drip/nurture (until they unsubscribe) ✅ NEW: Offering value so that leads actively and willing come back ❌ OLD: Gating every piece of content ✅ NEW: Giving away all of your content for free ❌ OLD: Forcing leads into your sales stages ✅ NEW: Designing experience around how people want to buy ❌ OLD: Focus on leads and MQLs ✅ NEW: Focus on opportunities and revenue I'm sure I missed like 1000 things.... What would you add?

MARKETING ? ADVERTISING ? SALES ? What's the difference .. What's the overlapping area .. After reading about it I can simplify it in a simple example : Let's look at the funnel 👇 Wide End: Marketing Marketing is the foundation of the funnel, creating awareness and building relationships with potential customers. It's the starting point for any successful sales journey. Narrow End: Sales Sales is the conversion point, where leads are converted into paying customers. It's the peak point of marketing efforts and the beginning of a long-term customer relationship. Targeted Beam: Advertising Advertising is promoting specific products or services to drive immediate action. It adds up to the marketing and sales efforts, pushing potential customers through the funnel towards conversion. #marketing #sales #advertising #learnings

But what is a "lead"? Marketing Agencies have muddied the water so much that nobody knows anymore. Is it someone that has their card details at the ready and is wanting to make a purchase? Is it someone requesting more information? Is it (and yes, some agencies call this a lead) an email address that has been scraped from god-knows-where that can be used in cold outreach? Whenever we take on a new client, this is always up there with the first question that I ask. Sure, I can generate you 5,000 "leads" a month for your £500 budget - but are we expecting the same thing?

Marketing people focus so much on attention, they forget about engagement. They go from attention to sales. Don't forgot the funnel. "Interest" and "Consideration"are just as important as "attention" because you need all three to convert. There are no quick fixes or paths, just solving a problem "one piece" of marketing at a time.

According to Peter Drucker, the goal of marketing is to make your sales efforts superfluous. In other words, great marketing makes selling unnecessary because it’s so effective that products practically sell themselves. The key is to deeply understand your customers’ needs and feelings. When your marketing reflects this understanding, it creates a powerful connection. This connection not only makes your product or service stand out but also resonates with your audience on a deeper level, making them feel understood and eager to buy. I love this quote! It truly captures the essence of effective marketing. What do you think?

I have been in marketing for close to 8 years now. Here’s one realisation I’ve had: There’s good marketing and bad marketing. And there’s a very thin line between the two. You can pretty much convince anything to almost anyone if you find the right loopholes to leverage. F&B brands are doing it. Clothing brands are doing it. Technology companies are doing it. Every company wants to sell you their product or service. Very rarely do I see brands - 1: educating their target audience in a genuine way 2: helping them figure out what their problem is 3: guiding them to the best solution irrespective of what they’re selling Everyone wants to squeeze the most money out of customers. That is how most of the marketing is. If you run a company or lead marketing, make that your differentiator. Educate your prospects - don’t sell. Marketing shouldn’t be focused on passing on leads to sales. It should be focused on building a trust engine so the leads themselves approach sales when the timing is right. That’s the simple mantra I’ve been following at GrowedIn for the past 3 years or so.

Can you Have Sales Without Marketing? In the last 2 years I've lost count of the number of businesses I've reached out to who say they don't need marketing. To a certain degree you can get away with it. This would be through referrals, improving customer experience and posting organic content through social media. But to truly progress your business you need a strong marketing plan to achieve this. It is a way to find out who exactly your selling to and building brand awareness. Marketing helps you align content to where your customer is at in your funnel, supporting them in their decision making and nurturing the customer through a series of steps. Marketing gives order to your business and takes the randomness out of where the next customer will come from. It stands to reason that, whilst referrals and word of mouth are truly powerful, have some marketing in place to lay the foundation for solid sales. #sales #marketing
