Admission. For someone who works in advertising, I rarely like ads. Especially Christmas ads. But I love the new Waitrose ad. It’s a proper big idea that really delivers. It’s a who-dunnit, with a Christmas afternoon movie vibe - Poirot, Knives Out, the after dinner Cluedo family board game turned into a lovely campaign - it’s a concept that holds up. Instead of starting with a name, or an advertising property - they started with an idea and then, like making a mini-movie, they cast proper actors! It’s awesome. Is that Matthew Macfadyen, and what’s her name from Fleabag, and that bloke from Slow Horses - and Joe Wilkinson from everything. It works. The lightness of touch, the writing, how far the idea goes without going too far. The OOH works too! It’s ace, and gives me back a little bit of faith in advertising and the power of ideas. #waitrose #saatchi #copywriting #christmas #advertising

Happy Easter everyone! 🐰🐣 In these days when the Easter spirit is spreading, we would like to share a little story with you about how a good staff association (De Skæve Lameller) can create an even better work environment. ✨☺️ Last Wednesday, we decided to add a little extra joy and laughter to our production and administration. One of our brave employees (Anne Rohde Andersen) dressed up as an Easter bunny and went around the entire company with Easter eggs for everyone. 🍫 It was a fun and surprising twist in our daily routine, and it put a smile on all of our faces. Despite the unusual sight of a full-size rabbit in our production, our Easter bunny was welcomed with open arms and lots of laughter. 😂 This small gesture from our staff association not only created an uplifted energy among the employees, but it also showed how a fun and unexpected activity can contribute to a better work environment. It is precisely such moments that bond us together and strengthen our collaboration. 🚀 De Skæve Lameller believes that it is the small, quirky details that make the difference and create unforgettable moments for our employees. 🥰 So let us remember that it doesn't always require big changes to improve our work environment. We have finally had some summer weather and this week is National Picnic Week. So it's nice to get outdoors for some fun and enjoy a lovely picnic. But if you have not taken your child out on a picnic before and they have sensory integration challenges. we have shared some ideas to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience. Talk about the picnic and show some pictures or a simple visual schedule to explain what will happen. 😀Find a quiet and calm spot, not too crowded to avoid overwhelming noise and activity. 🌻Try and select a location the child is already familiar with to reduce anxiety. 🐞Ensure the location has easy access and is safe for children to move around comfortably. 😋Consider your child's sensory needs and pack familiar food and bring utensil's your child is comfortable using. After the picnic, talk to the child about their experience. Discuss what they enjoyed. Okay, I know—posting pictures of my dog on LinkedIn isn’t exactly groundbreaking content. Nor does it appear to have any connection to this professional space. Some of you might be rolling your eyes right now. But, hear me out. A week after sharing my adoption story I’ve realized just how much this little furball has actually impacted my work life. 🐾 🧘♂️ Mindfulness: Those mandatory walks have turned into the perfect reset button. I step away from the screen, get some fresh air, and come back more focused (even if I’m still covered in dog hair). ⏰ Time blocking (for real): I used to think I was pretty good at prioritizing, but turns out, having a dog forces you to be a scheduling ninja. With midday walks on the agenda, I’ve mastered time blocking in a way that’s made me way more productive. 💛 Empathy: Dealing with my dog’s quirks has been a reminder to lead with patience and understanding—qualities that go a long way in both professional and personal relationships. 🌐 Connection: Beyond my own four walls, I’ve met so many new people in my neighborhood and community because of my dog. It’s opened doors to unexpected conversations and even potential partnerships and clients. I’ve learned more about people outside of my usual orbit in just a few walks than I have in months behind a desk. So, yeah, maybe I’m ‘that person’ now, sharing dog photos on LinkedIn. But if it’s helped me improve my work-life balance, build new connections, and stay connected with the people around me, I’d say it’s worth it. What about you?
