The biggest mistake I made while searching for a job was... I see this in job searching all the time. Example: 1. Applying for every job without considering if it truly aligns with my skills and interests. 2. Not customizing my resume and cover letter for each position, thinking a one-size-fits-all approach would work. 3. Focusing solely on online applications and neglecting the power of networking. Recognize these mistakes? This is called "ineffective job hunting strategies”. And it's wrong. If anything, it makes your job search weaker. You don't need to apply to every opening to prove you're open to opportunities. Simply show why you're a good fit for the ones you're passionate about. Stop fighting to apply everywhere ↳ Start focusing on quality over quantity to turn the odds in your favor. There's a life lesson in here too: Embrace focused efforts and meaningful connections #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice #Networking #ResumeWriting #CoverLetter #JobHunting

🚨Job Seeker Advice 🚨- Keep your LinkedIn profile and CV up-to-date. Now we don’t want to sound all mysterious but...sometimes we have great opportunities and we can’t publicise them. Not all the roles we fill get advertised. 👀 The client might be recruiting for commercially sensitive projects. 🕵️♀️ On other occasions, it is quicker to headhunt for very specific skills than to advertise. The reasons vary but if you are open to hearing about job offers or actively job hunting it pays to make sure you have all the right, up-to-date info on your profile. We’ve recently recruited for some really interesting, high-paying, global roles 🌎 💰which didn’t get posted here on LinkedIn or our website. They weren’t on the client’s website either! Put yourself in the strongest position to be found - whether it's by an agency recruiter or an employer. Don't wait to see an opportunity advertised. Sometimes the opportunities find you. #Recruiting #ExecutiveRecruitment #JobHuntingAdvice

Job hunting can be overwhelming. Here's what to ignore and what truly deserves your time 👇 Don’t get bogged down by the myths of the hidden job market, or the complexities of ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). These distractions can drain your energy and focus and should be 1% of your concern. Instead, channel your efforts into what truly makes a difference: 1. Apply for Jobs You're Qualified For: Spend time reading the job description/advert. Focus on roles where your skills and experience align closely with the job requirements. 2. Quantify Your CV: Ensure your CV highlights your achievements in a way that’s clear and measurable. Show potential employers the impact you’ve made 3. Optimise Your LinkedIn Profile: Make sure your profile is up-to-date and keyword-optimised. This increases your visibility to recruiters when they search. 4. Reconnect and Network: Reach out to old colleagues, let them know you are on the job market. Also don't be afraid to reach out to people within the businesses you’re interested in. Building genuine connections can open doors. Direct your energy towards actions that will yield results or you could end up frustrated and burnt out. #jobsearchtips #jobsearchadvice #jobseekers #jobsearch
