I wanted to share my thoughts about #GenZ. There is a lot of controversy about Gen Z being lazy or demanding, whereas I see this generation as an opportunity to innovate. Regardless of which generation you belong to, there is no question that the changes being suggested and implemented benefit everyone. If Covid-19 taught us anything, it was that with the trust and collaboration of your team, you can innovate quickly and effectively, work flexibly and ultimately find unique strategies to achieve success. Take a read of my brain dump here ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/dcpyH-DD #Inspiring #GenZ #Workplace #EmployeeExperience #Recruitment #Innovation

Understanding and leveraging their unique work patterns can transform this "nightmare" into an opportunity for growth and innovation. But let's flip the script- Gen Z grew up with the internet and cutting-edge tech, making them natural wizards with digital tools and social media. If we want to attract and keep Gen Z talent, we must build inclusive workplaces that value collaboration, offer growth opportunities, and love new tech. When we match their values and work style, we unlock their creativity, tech skills, and passion for positive change. Instead of seeing Gen Z as a challenge, let's recognize them as game-changers. Truth Thursday: Gen Z is soft And we are damn thankful for it! Generation Z might be tagged as 'soft', but let’s get real—they're actually redefining what strength looks like in the workplace, AND we are all benefiting! Their 'softness'? Yeah, it’s called having essential skills and not settling for old traditions that life is about work—empathy, adaptability, and collaboration.. Maybe it's time we all took notes. Empathy: Oh, they actually care about their colleagues' feelings and foster inclusive environments. Revolutionary, right? Adaptability: Born into digital chaos, they handle change better than most of us handled dial-up. (Remember you could make a whole meal while waiting for it to connect 🤣) Teamwork: They prefer collaboration over going solo. Because, you know, two heads are better than one—surprise! How about we stop underestimating Gen Z and start appreciating the fresh perspectives they bring to our oh-so-traditional tables? #WorkforceDevelopment #OpportunityTalent #GenZ

Breaking the Myths⭐ It’s no secret that Gen Z—that’s us—faces a lot of myths when it comes to entering the workforce. We’re often labeled as “too entitled,” “not loyal,” or “not prepared for the real world.” But let’s pause for a moment and rethink this narrative. In reality, we are one of the most creative and entrepreneurial generations the world has seen in years. Growing up with technology, social media, and constant global connectivity, we’ve learned to adapt, innovate, and think outside the box in ways no previous generation has had to. Whether it’s creating viral content, building side hustles, or driving social change, we are showing the world how to slay in ways no one expected. Yet, there’s a catch: the competition for talent today is fierce, and "who you know" often seems to matter more than "what you know." With networking, references, and connections playing a bigger role than ever, it’s easy for the most talented Gen Z individuals to get overlooked if they don’t have the right entry points into the industry. We’re also the generation facing a flood of challenges, from navigating job markets that seem stacked against us to pushing for social changes that many are too afraid to make. But that’s exactly why Gen Z are the ones to drive the change this world needs. So, here’s the real talk: stop sleeping on Gen Z. We may not always follow the traditional path, but we’re ready to slay and take things to the next level. Give us the opportunity, and we’ll show you just how much we’re capable of. The future is ours, and we are ready to make it happen. #GenZ #Creativity #Innovation #Talent #FutureOfWork #BreakTheMyths

Are Gen Z picky? You’ve probably often heard this sentence “Gen Z are so picky, they have no will to work and they have so many demands” 🤔But what if it’s just the narrative you’ve been told all this time? ➡️Us, as humans naturally tend to form judgements and beliefs only on what we have been mostly exposed to. ➡️If you start digging into your memory you probably have plenty of examples of times where young people misbehaved or similar stories you’ve been told. ➡️These examples contributed to form a belief that “young people don’t want to work”. BUT the amount of people who “don’t want to work” usually, because of what we discussed above, overshadows young people who acutally do WANT to work. Only because of the exposure they have had. ✨So what can we do to find those people who have been overshadowed? 🩷 At GenZen we do that everyday - connecting GenZs to companies and helping companies be at their best shape to find those hidden gems 💎 🚀Let’s revolutionize the workforce together ⬇️Follow & Save to never miss an update #genz #consulting #newco #generationz #workplace

Business leaders: hiring the right talent that you need is hard. The pandemic has shifted how we connect to work, and for some professionals, they've uncovered new job opportunities that didn't exist before. Women rejoining the workplace is one example, and also, neurodivergent or talent with disabilities. For me personally, what a relief! Not only for myself to be able to continue pursue my own career aspirations, but also because I can recruit outside of my immediate region to tap diverse talent I otherwise wouldn't have been able to access. And I needed to build my team fast - looking to other regions improved my time to hire conversion rates and I secured the right talent that I needed imminently. Join this virtual event summit to learn what you need to know about how to hire people with disabilities and the neurodivergent talent (spoiler alert: It's more people than you think). https://lnkd.in/eZV3QACb Hiring plans for 2025 is getting easier with help from Talivity. 👩🚀 Crystal Lay Kate O'Connor, CPACC Anna Thielke Torri Wright Ma.Ed. #makewaves #dei #womenintheworkplace #foundermode #jobs #employerbrand #remotework

Ageism in tech is especially weird. When you’re in your 30s and you’re made to feel old, you know there’s something wrong with (at least some quarters of) the culture. Clearly, many people are having a hard time moving off of Mark Zuckerberg’s infamous quote: “Young people are just smarter.” In this interview with Maureen Clough, someone who has also felt the sting of corporate downsizing in tech, we unpack a number of the tropes and myths around getting older and how to keep it together professionally. There are a number of “acts” to perform in our careers, so we want to be able to understand them, prepare for them, and grow into them. https://lnkd.in/eRQTxuXW #newjob #careerdevelopment #careerpivot #careercoaching #careergrowth #jobseeker #executivecoaching #networking #personalbranding #thoughtleadership #gethired #careeradvice
