October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to come together and raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence on individuals and communities. DVAM unites advocates, survivors, and supporters in the fight to end violence against women and children. This month, we recognize the progress made, but we must also acknowledge that much work remains to combat domestic violence, which is a leading cause of firearm homicides. Data discrepancies often obscure the true scope of the issue, misleading the narrative. It's crucial that we address these gaps and push for a clearer understanding to effectively end domestic violence. #DVAM #EndDomesticViolence #1Thing #SurvivorSupport #OctoberAwareness

Every 10 Minutes, a Life is Lost to Violence..... Gender-based violence (GBV) is a silent epidemic, one that thrives in shadows and whispers. It doesn’t just hurt individuals; it leaves scars on families, communities, and societies. Yet, too often, it is ignored, excused, or normalized. Every 10 minutes, a woman loses her life to violence. These are mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends, each with dreams, potential, and a right to live without fear. As we move through the 16 Days of Activism, we are reminded of the urgency to break the silence. Change is possible. It begins with conversations that challenge harmful norms, policies that protect the vulnerable, and communities that refuse to tolerate abuse. It begins with each of us choosing empathy, advocating for justice, and supporting survivors. Let’s build a future where safety and dignity are universal rights. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #OrangeTheWorld #NoExcuses
