One of the techniques applied in workshop facilitation is flipping negative thinking into possibility oriented thinking. When somebody comes up with an idea, all too often it is killed instantaneously by people who can't immediately see how it could serve them or others. #Creativeminds are silenced with the phrases like "that will never work", "we've tried that already", and "we don't have time for that". But when those creative minds would be given the opportunity to explain and test their ideas, we can do much better as a whole. The video below is a great example of how group thinking can be in the way of exploring new ideas. With the help of a #workshopfacilitator everybody, including the most creative minds, get their ideas heard and valued. This leads to better and more widely adopted plans to tackle the challenges that are lying ahead. Let's go from "nah" to "tell me more about it" and welcome ideas. What idea did you kill recently without really understanding it? SPARCOS BV #explore #positivity #groupthinking #workshop #workshoppermaster AJ&Smart

Consider these stats: -Scottish businesses saw a 50% decline in investment value in 2023. -Only 1 Unicorn out of 39 in the UK is based in Scotland, compared to 32 in London. Britain’s Got Startups aims to change this by increasing regional investment, spotlighting talent, and connecting founders with investors. It’s your chance to make an impact! Apply to pitch by midday tomorrow: https://vist.ly/3mnv4rk More about the event series: https://vist.ly/3mnv4rn

We expected to see the markets open back up in the second half of 2024. That timetable is now accelerating. U.S. companies received nearly $31 billion in angel and VC funding in Q2. It was the biggest quarter for funding in two years. More startups in both traditional and emerging hubs are securing the capital they need to build successful businesses. And our new edition of the Fastest-Growing Startup Cities report breaks it all down. Get your copy here: https://hubs.la/Q02HDkV_0
