When you're in the B2B space, content is not about the views. It's about creating genuine conversations. 🎙️ Today's episode of Branded features Chris Weiher - CLEAVER Creative, B2B video expert, to talk about engaging B2B content strategies and authentic branding. In this episode, Chris shares valuable insights on creating content that resonates with niche audiences, understanding the importance of authenticity, and enhancing engagement through strategic video techniques. 🔑 Key Takeaways: Understanding Your Audience: Tailoring your content to a specific niche—like realtors interested in new property laws—can be far more effective than aiming for broad appeal. Balanced Authenticity: Authenticity attracts like-minded audiences. Authentic and engaging content can resonate deeply, even if it doesn't achieve high view counts. Effective LinkedIn Video Strategies: Use vertical or square videos for better engagement on LinkedIn, and remember, it's all about providing value over just counting views. We reached another milestone today, folks - here’s Episode 150! There are so many moving parts in B2B content marketing that content creators and marketers must be aware of. Many of their efforts might fall flat because they don’t diversify their approach beyond paid traffic. While paid traffic has its place and advantages, B2B content marketers are missing out on opportunities if they’re not getting organic reach with their content. If B2B content marketers and creators haven’t developed an organic strategy, they will miss out on huge volumes of traffic. Here are some pitfalls that they need to avoid: 1. Not having a proper customer avatar (Start with this to develop good content and evaluate it regularly). 2. Not having a deep understanding of the target audience’s interests, likes, and platforms (Research these carefully and thoroughly). 3. Not having the buyer’s journey mapped out (This will help you to understand the different stages of the journey, what the critical touchpoints are, and what type of content you need to create). 4. Not engaging and/or commenting on social media (The approach needs to be interactive to help build trust and credibility). 5. Working in siloes (Developing a good organic content strategy is a collaborative and collective process). Here’s what you should focus on to build profitable organic B2B content marketing strategies: 1. Develop the right customer avatars, focus on them, and develop a content strategy based on them. 2. Set up a consistent posting schedule. 3. Develop a process to capture important information from the target audience through social media content. 4. Remember the social aspect of social media - engage with your audience. 5. Share content that your target audience that is interesting, relevant, and useful to them. I had the pleasure to discuss these topics and more with Shreya Banerjee and Paul Counts in this latest B2B Marketers on a Mission Podcast episode. Your content is useless if you’re not distributing it! Recently I was on the Caspian Studios Remarkable podcast with Ian Faison highlighting the secret to impactful content isn't just creating it—it's distributing it. You might craft the world’s best article or research piece, but if it doesn’t reach the right audience, it won’t drive value for your business. Don't let your hard work go unnoticed! Invest just as much effort in your distribution plan as you do in content creation. Use all available channels—social media, email, SEO, partnerships—to ensure your content reaches and resonates with your ideal prospects. How are you ensuring your content reaches the right prospects? 🧐 P.s. I promise to put the mic a bit different the next time I record at home 😄 🎙️ #ContentMarketing #MarketingStrategy #B2B

Many #B2B enterprises have highly technical solutions, which can lead to complicated marketing content that audiences have trouble reading and paying attention to. 🧠 The average human attention span only lasts about eight seconds, though. This means that to engage audiences better, #marketing teams need to simplify complex ideas. Martin Pietrzak, Pinch's President, addresses this challenge and unpacks other digital marketing strategies in an episode of Mischa Zvegintzov's Table Rush Talk Show podcast. 👀 Examine the video below for more details on why and how marketers should navigate complexity when creating content. 🎧 Or, listen to the whole podcast to get some interesting insights on building successful digital marketing strategies ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e3uPDrxu And to help you put your best foot forward, here are a few simple best practices you can implement to eliminate complexity and maximize engagement around your company's content: ✅ Ensure content uses conversational language instead of technical jargon. ✅ Position your solutions around their benefits and everyday applications instead of their specific complex features. ✅ Include visuals when possible to help clarify intricate processes and ideas. ✅ Create simple overview-style videos and articles that link to more advanced resources for anyone interested in learning more. ✅ Pull snippets from complex articles and webinars and repurpose them into smaller, digestible content pieces to better engage audiences on your blog or social media. #B2BMarketing

This resonates strongly with my own content creation strategy. I believe starting with a clear goal and tailoring the message to your audience’s needs is key. Additionally, engaging hooks are crucial—they draw people in and set the tone for the rest of your post. Personally, I also like to focus on adding value by sharing insights from real experiences and challenges. What’s your approach to content creation? Would love to hear your thoughts
