I listen to a lot of podcasts. I also pitch a lot of podcasts. And someday I aspire to start one. Apparently, I'm not alone. According to Pew Research Center, half of Americans have listened to a podcast in the past year. One interesting nugget: they not only entertain, but influence behavior. More than 1/3 of listeners (36%) made a lifestyle change and over 1/4 (28%) made purchases after hearing about them on a podcast. Podcasting continues to create opportunities for communicators and brands to engage their target audiences in a whole new way. Check out this article from Nicole Schuman at PRNEWS to learn how communicators are finding success with podcasts. And if you're struggling with finding the right podcasts and getting placed on them, reach out to learn how we can use them to elevate your brand for maximum reach and impact! #podcast #PR #storytelling

📣 Monday Minute: How Communicators Find Success With Podcasts 🎙 "With podcast listeners trending upward year-over-year, it makes sense for communicators to look to this medium to push a new product or score an informational interview depending on the audience. The Pew Research also shows that listeners are engaging with podcasts in ways other than listening, which influences off-platform behavior—and can be encouraging for PR professionals." 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/efEpY-25 👇 Any favorite podcasts? As PR agencies and companies continue to integrate digital platforms with “traditional media”, one area that has gone from strength-to-strength as an authentic content type is the podcast. 2023 reports have found that nearly half of geographical audiences are listening to podcasts and see them as a way to digest news content. A new string to the communication bow, with the “guest spot” on a podcast starting to see business benefits outside of awareness: https://lnkd.in/efEpY-25 #PR #PRNews #Insight #Blog #Podcast #Podcasting

Don't sleep on podcasts, ya'll. In my experience, I've found that clients tend to prioritize more traditional or big-name earned media. But podcasts are an easier lift to get coverage in AND can be more effective in delivering your message to the right people because of their smaller and more focused audience base. Also, if you're considering hosting your own, people LOVE to be invited to participate in things. If podcasts (guesting or hosting) aren't part of your communication strategy, it's time to revisit it. #communication #earnedmedia #podcasts #targetaudience

Having launched a podcast for a nonprofit association, I predict that the number of companies and organizations with #podcasts will increase during the next few years. This includes organizations creating podcasts as part of an #internalcommunications strategy. One of the benefits of podcasts is that you can multi-task while listening to them. This means employees can listen to them while they work, which can help company leaders engage employees who may not be reading updates from a crowded email inbox. https://lnkd.in/eB_edGBy
