"I wish we had more help!" 😩 It's Q4, and there are deadlines with a growing list of PTO requests and that holiday season that freezes workflow in its tracks. 🥶 Whether you're a digital agency, organization, or business needing an extra set of hands 👐 , there is help available to start immediately on whatever content needs you have - from strategy to ideation to creation. 😎 Many clients hire me for freelance writing gigs but end up needing so much more than just SEO-rich content. My heart is creative, and my head is technical, allowing me to help with every stage of content creation and dissemination. 💯 For example, current projects I'm working on include: ☑️ Writing articles on topics ranging from travel to economic development to wedding locations to in-depth travel safety ☑️ Revamping media databases for ALT text and media titles to help with SERP ☑️ Running Semrush audits and fixing errors causing slowdowns or competitive disadvantages ☑️ Managing Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, and Keyword Lists ☑️ Tracking competitive keywords, paid and organic ☑️ Providing a YouTube video description strategy to optimize content and authority ☑️ Organizing Pinterest boards with SEO research and graphic creation ☑️ Doing extensive SEO keyword research for target verticals ☑️ Installing and harnessing the power of Yoast ☑️ Managing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts ☑️ Updating link rot throughout massive websites I also adapt easily to new systems. In the freelance world, we often get sent access to systems we've never seen and get very little (if any) training. I figure it out. 🧐 How can I help YOU make EOY deadlines while allowing your employees to get the time off they need or help fill that gap of a hiring freeze that's locked until the new year? 🎉 Reach out today! 🤝 #freelancer #freelance #contentwriter #writing #journalist #socialmediamanager #googlesearchconsole #microsoftclarity #mediastrategy #semrush #wordpress #help #hiringhelp #freelancehelp #temporaryhelp #opentowork #

Life Update: New City, New Chapter! 🌟 Hi folks, I wanted to share some big changes with me in the past six months. I've made the leap from Indianapolis to Seattle, and at the same time, embraced the freelance life! I have been doing good work with SEO, content strategy, and website management. In my largest project to date, I published 500 pages. I am most curious about the changing landscape in content marketing and how to best position your web presence in a ballooning sea of content. Those who are familiar with my last role will be pleased to know I have been working closely with Shauntle Barley this whole time, and now I am expanding my book of business! Why Seattle? I have been visiting the PNW for 4 years now, and Seattle's creative spirit and thriving tech community make it the perfect place for me to grow both personally and professionally. I am lucky to have a strong support network out here as I did back home in Indiana! What I've Learned These past 6 months have taught me a lot about taking calculated risks in my career. Whether it's moving to a new city or betting on yourself professionally, growth often lies outside our comfort zone. What's Next If you are working on a marketing campaign or need extra support with your website, I want to hear about it! If you want to put me in your back pocket for future projects, let's connect! And if you're already cruising along with your freelance gig, please send advice 🙏 Don't be a stranger, let's get to work! #CareerChange #Freelance #Seattle #NewBeginnings

Taking control of your work life by being your own boss is something more of us should do. In this Business Insider article, Randy McCabe talks about how he used four strategies to help him successfully pivot to being self-employed and essentially, become a freelancer. 1. Identify a niche. 2. Showcase skills and expertise. 3. Market your services. 4. Stay organized. At Kard Asia we support professionals most especially with #2 showcasing skills and expertise by giving you your own microsite and #3 helping you market your services by giving you tools like your own QR code pointing to your microsite. End your feelings of employer pressure and take over your own work path. Come to Kard Asia and sign on. We're building the Master List of Professionals in Asia and you should be on that list.
Randy McCabe worked at Google for nearly two years, starting in 2016 as an account manager. He loved his time there. The employees were friendly, the directors encouraged growth, and the on-site gym and free food were fantastic. But when his position was outsourced, they had the opportunity to look into joining other teams; instead, he quit. McCabe found a new job, then gradually started taking freelance digital marketing gigs on the side and later created his digital marketing agency. In five years, he's made over $1 million on one platform, and he's so happy with the growth he's seen. McCabe used four strategies to help him successfully pivot to freelance. 1. Identify a niche. 2. Showcase skills and expertise. 3. Market your services. 4. Stay organized. So it would appear that half the challenge of looking for a new role is to get a human to take a look at your CV. Think I've been defeated by the algorithm (AI filters) a few times thus far. Keywords updated and in the suggested key area of the CV where the filter will supposedly scan. We go again. Those keywords... Social Media Strategy development | Digital Media | Content Creation | Communications | Copywriting | Creative Writing | Community Management | Google Analytics | A/B Testing | Sprout | Canva | Adobe | Twitter X, Facebook, Instagram | WordPress | Squarespace | Basic HTML SEO | Technical | Industry White Papers | Podcasting | CRM That dream role? Football media would be grand. Social Media and / or Communications would be ideal.

This time, LinkedIn got it right! Over the past week, I've been found on LinkedIn for the following job titles. ✅ Marketer ✅ Writer ✅ Marketing Associate ✅ Freelance Writer ✅ Account Manager But in the past, it wasn't like this. I was previously found for Director, Admin, Supply Chain, Designer, Toilet Manager, Car Consultant and more. The algorithm goes haywire. So, what did I do differently? As a start, I refined my LinkedIn profile with the right keywords on the Headline, Cover Image, Postings, Experience and Skills. Then, I obtained 2 Top Voice Badges, Top Advertising Voice and Top Personal Branding Voice. After some tweaks and 2 recognition badges on my LinkedIn profile, it worked perfectly. This is how I game the LinkedIn algorithm through SEO and Personal Branding. A trick from the usual digital marketing book. #personalbranding #seo #linkedin #profile #optimization

I've made the big decision to take freelance seriously... While I'm in this period of job limbo, applying and going for interviews, I'm going to throw as much effort into freelancing as possible, and see where the path takes me. Quick few credentials - I've worked in digital marketing for 10 years, working with over 100 different B2B and B2C clients. I specialise in organic social, content creation, Google and Microsoft PPC, Paid Social and digital strategy, analytics and reporting. My key thing is making your marketing engaging (and often funny), so people actually click and convert, instead of using the same boring messaging your competitors are also using. So if you're a business who needs any of the following, please send me a message: ✌ Organic social media strategy and content ✌ Google or Microsoft ads strategy, audit and management ✌ Paid social strategy, audit and management ✌ Content creation ✌ Digital marketing strategy, analytics or reporting Likewise, if you're an agency looking for whitelabel support, then also send me a DM. And if you're a freelancer, let's get a virtual or real meeting booked in, I'd love to pick your brains! If you can like, comment, tag, share - anything to help me reach a wider audience! P.S. here's a photo of my dog looking unamused at me writing this post 🐶

Turns out being out of work isn't fun. So, I'm quite actively looking for work now. Full-time, contract, consulting or freelance. I've been working in content, marketing and digital marketing in B2B and B2C for 15 years now, and I've picked up a few skills along the way. 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: I've been copywriting pretty much the entire time. Ebooks, articles, blogs, ads, emails, social media posts, scripts, speeches... you need it, I can probably do it. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲: If you need help to reach your audience, or build a campaign for multiple funnel stages, then I can help you with that - from a top-level view through to the details. 𝐔𝐗: Want to figure out why your users aren't doing what you want them to do? I'll help you work on your user journeys, CTAs and metrics. 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: LinkedIn, Google and Facebook ads, organic posts, GA4, and more bespoke CMS than anyone should have to deal with. I can do them comfortably and take you through insights from the results. Oh, automated and conditional CRM campaigns as well. 𝐒𝐄𝐎: I'm not going to trend-chase or look for short-term results. I prefer to look at what Google actually wants, and build a sustainable, user-focused approach based around EEAT. I've helped a couple of organisations take the top spots in very competitive fields. 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨: I can produce, direct, shoot and edit. I've made films for a bunch of places I've worked for (including multi-camera live broadcasts), and I've made short films that have been shown in short festivals. I can also coach you if you're going to be in front of camera. Got a bunch of equipment too. I've also done voice-over stuff a weird amount of times considering I never planned to, so... that too. If you want to find out more, I'm super-approachable and always up for a coffee and a chat. Or an email with my CV. You know how these things work.
