Appli-Tec provides some of its materials as two-part kits, with Mix Ratio called out on the TDS. For example, the mix ratio for Appli-Tec’s 5336 Epoxy is 100 for Part A and 6 for Part B. While you can mix 5336 Epoxy in-house, 100 to 6 is a tough ratio to get exactly right. Even with a calibrated scale, extra drops or not enough drops of the curing agent will result in a decline of performance: Hardness, Glass Transition Temperature, and Low Outgassing properties will be negatively impacted. #UV #coating plays a crucial role in protecting battery housings against corrosion, moisture, and ensuring electrical insulation to prevent high voltages. The process involves applying a specialized coating and curing it with ultraviolet (UV) light. Coating the edges of the cells has been a challenge, especially achieving homogeneous thickness. Currently, applying two to three coats is necessary for better distribution, risking uneven applications that may impact performance. At #Optisense, we meticulously measure UV coating thickness on critical areas like edges and corners, ensuring precision on both wet and dry surfaces. The big question we always get asked .… What membranes or products do you use? The answer - quite a few! Why?? Every roof has different problems or hurdles. We did three sites yesterday with the help of Triflex to do adhesion tests because to seal/terminating on glass (Nightmare to warranty long term!) Tests are done and passed, so we have a solution for the client. Liquid overlay on these sites is excellent because there is no risk of ingress while removing the substrate and, subsequently, possibly less disruption for all parties below the work area. Also, this system, once overlayed is about 5mm thick and gives good protection when some single ply’s are only 1.2mm thick and non reinforced. #triflex
