The SeamlessDXB Spectacle: Everything is wonderful at #seamlessDXB: six halls packed with exhibitors, eight conference zones, a networking area, and 350 startups given free kiosks with tables, and 30,000 visitor registrations. Yet, Terrapinn Middle East , like all current exhibition organizers Messe Frankfurt Middle East Informa Markets (Emily Nicols check dm) INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions dmg events fails at the most crucial aspect—lead generation. They all invest in mobile apps, which only 5% of participants download, and a mere 1% actually use. This has been the trend for a decade across all organizers, yet they continue to fund these apps. Even the Saudi mega-tech event LEAP by Tahaluf and Dubai's favorite Gitex Global, each boasting 200,000 visitors, only manage a pitiful 5-10 thousand downloads according to Google Play statistics (see for yourself). Well, we'll wait until they consider new solutions (#expochats, #colleqt, etc)

Across several Seamless trade shows, including the current one in 2024 and previous events in 2023, there have been a total of 5,000 downloads.

Hey Stepan, sounds like rave reviews of Seamless - if the traffic around Trade Centre is anything to go by, a great show. On app value - post Covid, App value props for events have significantly shifted for the better. We’ve worked closely with Swapcard and Bob Chain, led by a dedicated in house product marketing team from Anne Hickman to build apps into the customer journey, rather than an afterthought. Not sure about the stats you’re seeing, but of the apps we have invested in over the past year, we see, on average, 40% of our audience are active users. Looks like apps in events are shifting forwards for the better!
