“We are here as the crazy ones, the misfits, and the rebels who are working as innovators to transform education.” - Taylor Shead, Founder & CEO Stemuli The edtech panel aired on C-SPAN during The Power of Innovation Summit hosted by the The Center for Education Reform and Forbes at the National Press Club. Here are 5️⃣ of our takeaways ⤵️ ⚡ AI, XR, and VR are more than just trends—they have the potential to level the playing field in education and provide equitable learning opportunities that equip students with the skills to make above livable wage. ⚡ The focus is shifting towards putting students in the driver’s seat, encouraging self-reflection, and making learning personalized. ⚡ With only 22% of high school graduates proficient in math and 50% of the population making below livable wage $59k, there’s a need to bridge the gap between social promotion and real-world readiness. ⚡ The outdated “one-size-fits-all” curriculum is insufficient; education must adapt to reflect the diversity of students' backgrounds, learning styles, and aspirations. ⚡ Students need exposure to a broader pool of career paths to make confident, informed decisions about their futures.
