Unleash the power of your Power BI tables Here are 3 key tips: 1. Build relationships between tables for analysis instead of merging them into one giant table. 2. Need to combine similar tables? Append them side-by-side for a cleaner structure. 3. Power BI can automatically detect table relationships, but double-check and edit for accuracy. #PowerBI #datavisualization #datamodeling

Do you ever feel like your Power BI report looks a bit plain and you want to highlight some interesting insights for users? You can easily achieve this by adding colours to your charts using conditional formatting. Here are two ways to do it: 1. Using Rules: • Quick and easy for specific text or absolute numbers, percentage • Perfect for simple highlighting scenarios 2. Time for Wednesday Instructive Meme 🚀 Quick midweek reminder to check your relationships in #PowerBI, especially when adding new tables! 💡 By default, Power BI tries to detect links between your tables, considering column names, value types, cardinality, etc. This is super helpful and speeds up the process. 🚀 BUT, remember: Trust is good, but verification is better!🔍 Always make sure Power BI is doing things right, or you might end up with odd behaviors and unexpected outcomes in your data. 😱 If your tables have the same column names but aren’t meant to be linked, double-check them. For a tighter control on your data model, you might want to disable the auto-detect feature. This way, you'll have better control over what gets connected. 👮🏻♀️👮🏻♂️ More details on the available options, and also how to deactivate them here: https://lnkd.in/eKr8RiY5
