Only just discovering the amazing things you can do with Power BI's new metrics section in the service. If you have a bunch of reports and datasets you need to tie together this is a game changer. Before we were compiling values across 7 reports, 5 semantic models, and combining the data together. The ability to create connected metrics a specific value out of and have filters applied means you can designate specific repeatable measures that are updated each week. This alone must have saved us hours. If you're a Power BI dev and haven't tried it out yet I'd highly recommend playing around! https://lnkd.in/gBuvwP_3

⚡Got Millions of Rows? Here’s How to Speed Up Power BI! . . Running Power BI with large datasets? Performance matters. Use Aggregations to pre-calculate summaries of your data. Implement Composite Models to mix Import and Direct Query modes, letting you scale with massive datasets without sacrificing speed. Avoid bi-directional filtering unless absolutely necessary—keep relationships simple!
