Want to get involved with in-person networking, but don't know where to start? Here are some places to check if you're still a little rusty after Covid: - Industry Conferences (CIO Summits, Cybersecurity Conferences, etc.) -Alumni Events (Reach out to your Alumni board or sign up for your local chapter's newsletter) -Professional Networking Associations (TAG, ATP, WIT) -Diversity Specific Conferences (If you work for a WBENC or NMSDC company, check out their annual conferences) If you feel like you might want to do it, just get out there and do it. The worst thing that can happen is you encounter somebody rude/dismissive or boof a conversation- but most people at a networking event are there to network & are generally friendly. Don't pitch or try to sell- your intention is to build relationships and connections- be curious. No need for some weird one-liner- walk up and say "Hey what brings you to the event today?" #networking #networkingadvice #conferences #events
Big gulps 😁 , eh!? Well......alright! (name that movie)

7moTo this day I'm still nervous walking into networking events, however I always leave happy I went and have made connections I stay in touch with and collaborate with for years. It sucks sitting in traffic to go to an event after already working a 9-10 hour day, BUT is always worth it. This is a calendar I've used that is helpful for events going on - https://hypepotamus.com/events/
