🗣️“Some of these future thinking technologies that are coming out [of the likes of Formula 1] are exciting from a sustainability point of view, because we won't solve the world's problems by doing less,” asserts Dr Susie Tomson 👩🏫
“We will through technology. We have to through technology. Essentially, we have to look at decarbonising and we realistically have to take the choice away from the individual [as] people always buy the cheaper product - and [that’s when] we're talking about people who can afford that choice. A lot of people can't, globally.” 🌎🌱
One promising avenue is sustainable fuels, which have the potential to reduce emissions in vehicles that cannot immediately transition to electric power, including commercial trucks and aviation 🚛 ✈️
This year’s F1 Miami Grand Prix marked a milestone: F1’s safety and medical cars used 40% sustainable fuel for the first time 🏎️ 🏁
By 2026, the series aims to power all its race cars with 100% sustainable fuel, paving the way for broader adoption in the transportation sector ♻️

Interesting piece… but what are F1 doing to address the logistics and business travel impacts which (according to the article) account for 78% of the Carbon footprint in the sport?

With our pioneering spirit, we invented the car more than 138 years ago. It changed the way we travel, bringing independence and the chance to see the world. Now, it is our aim to reinvent our cars through constant innovation, focusing on our production process and a drive towards more sustainable mobility solutions.
Our sustainable business strategy ‘Ambition 2039’ serves as our route map. Our goal is to reach net carbon-neutrality in our new vehicle fleet along the entire value chain and over the whole life cycle by 2039 – 11 years ahead of the Paris Agreement.
A few of the milestones we’re aiming for by 2030:
• Cut production CO2 emissions by 80%
• Reduce CO2 emissions per passenger car in the new vehicle fleet by up to 50% compared to 2020 levels
• Increase the share of secondary raw materials for the passenger car fleet to an average of 40%
• Add more than 45,000 charging points to our global network

Is Renault 5 the ultimate answer to decarbonization?
In our last episode of the FutuRGen series, Cléa Martinet, VP Sustainability at Renault Group & Ampere, unpacks the societal impact of electric vehicles and how the new R5 is leading the charge in the fight against carbon emissions. 🔋💡
Watch now!
We are proud to take a significant step towards a more sustainable future at MBH Global. Our entire management team has committed to converting to electric vehicles, demonstrating our dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices 🚘🌎
Leading by Example ✨️
This initiative is more than just a switch to electric vehicles (EVs); it’s a bold statement about our values and leadership. By choosing EVs, our management team is setting a powerful example for the entire company and the industry. This move underscores our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting a cleaner, greener environment.
Why Electric 🚘
Environmental Impact: EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, significantly reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. This shift helps combat climate change and contributes to a healthier planet
Energy Efficiency: EVs convert over 77% of the electrical energy from the grid to power at the wheels, compared to only about 12%–30% of the energy stored in gasoline. This efficiency means less energy waste and a more sustainable use of resources.
Innovation and Leadership: By embracing electric vehicles, MBH Global is positioning itself at the forefront of innovation.
Economic Benefits: While the initial investment in electric cars can be higher, the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance make them a cost-effective choice. This transition also supports the growing green economy, creating jobs and fostering sustainable economic growth.
Our commitment to electric cars is just one part of MBH Global’s broader sustainability strategy. We are dedicated to integrating sustainable practices across all aspects of our business, from reducing waste to conserving energy and supporting eco-friendly initiatives 🌎
Join us in celebrating this milestone as we drive towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. Together, we can make a difference, one electric vehicle at a time 🚘

I'm extremely proud of what we are doing at Bridge Classic Cars when it comes to sustainability.
I know I've spoken about it a lot but we are now going big and announcing that we are running our cars on synthetic fuel. This will reduce the emissions from each vehicle by an incredible 80% and is a huge step in our mission to become a sustainable business.
This fuel has already helped make motorsport more environmentally-friendly but we are now bringing it to the everyday driver.
No modifications needed to the car, no difference in performance, infrastructure already in place, cleaner and greener motoring...no-brainer right?!
