Welcome to Ampere’s new Software Center! Located in the heart of the Sophia Antipolis European technology park, this center will play a crucial role in developing the centralized architecture of the first European Software Defined Vehicle (#SDV). It complements our teams in Toulouse and the Guyancourt Technocentre. Designed with the specific needs and working methods of software development in mind, our center is dedicated to operational excellence and providing the best working conditions for our employees. It features 70 test benches in laboratories, an automotive test lab, and spaces designed to foster synergies, collaboration, and agile practices. Our team of 200 expert engineers is already hard at work on SDV development, focusing on key technology areas such as Connectivity, Over The Air (OTA) updates, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Cybersecurity & Safety, EE Architecture, Verification & Validation, and Software Integration. We are proud to collaborate with leading tech partners like Google and Qualcomm, as well as research institutes, startups, and universities, to drive innovation and excellence.

Accelerating the EV Revolution.⚡ We’re thrilled to announce a new step in our commitment to driving the EV transition forward. Ampere and STMicroelectronics work together to optimize EV power efficiency with a strong long-term supply agreement for silicon carbide in our PowerBox technology. This collaboration marks a critical milestone in Ampere’s strategy, harnessing the combined strengths of Ampere’s cutting-edge EV technology and STMicroelectronics’ expertise in advanced power electronics to create power modules that push the boundaries of performance, efficiency, and competitiveness in the e-powertrain. “This agreement is the result of the intensive work carried out with STMicroelectronics. By working upstream together, we were able to optimize and secure the supply of key components for our electric powertrains, to offer high performance EVs with increased range and optimized charging time. It perfectly aligns with Ampere’s strategy to master the entire value chain of power electronics for its e-powertrain, leveraging STMicroelectronics’ expertise in power modules,” said Philippe Brunet, SVP Powertrain & EV engineering, Ampere. The future of clean, efficient transportation is moving faster than ever — and we’re just getting started!
