🍂 The HIPERWIND project is about to be completed. In this interview series, we take a look at the key findings and outcomes of the project. First up is Clément Jacquet from EPRI: “#HIPERWIND could be a game changer,” he says. “We deliver a significant reduction of the LCOE. The target was up to 9% … and even 10% is achievable if we consider the most optimistic case we have.” 👉 EPRI's contribution to HIPERWIND is on work package six, which assesses the impact of the HIPERWIND technologies on the #LCOE (Levelised Cost of Energy) and the market value of wind energy. The HIPERWIND consortium consists of seven partners from both academia and industry: DTU Wind and Energy Systems, ETH Zürich, EDF, IFP Energies nouvelles, EPRI, University of Bergen (UiB), and DNV. HIPERWIND stands for HIghly advanced Probabilistic design and Enhanced Reliability methods for high-value, cost-efficient offshore wind. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No. 101006689 and has run for 3,5 years.
