Allow me to share with you about the 4-month Exploration and Production Subsurface Onboarding program organized by Centex, Mukah Sarawak. Certificate issued by Schlumberger Company. The program consists of three main segments: 1.Theoretical training in subsurface discipline. 2.Software application 3.Soft skills. The learning methodology involves theory enhanced with practical applications and workgroup participation in case studies. The experience gained from this program provides a profound understanding of the oil and gas industry. There are fundamental principles of knowledge that we need to grasp and comprehend. Her expertise spans across oil and gas operations, consulting, and academia, particularly focusing on the development and improvement of production from unconventional reservoirs in the Permian Basin of West Texas. During our engaging Zoom session, We delved deep into the intricacies of reservoir engineering. Her profound knowledge in both unconventional and conventional reservoir analysis, workover operations, hydraulic-fracturing jobs, production operations, and regulatory compliance was truly inspiring. It became evident that her organizational capabilities and passion for mentoring and professional volunteerism make her a remarkable leader in the field. “You must have been one of those annoying children that always asked….WHY?” I recall being told by a Drilling Supervisor I worked for when I was a young bp Drilling Engineer. I didn’t know if it was a compliment or a criticism at the time, but I grew to believe it was very much a positive as we developed a great relationship during our work together (at least I thought as much!). I’ll forever be grateful for my first class education I got at bp in the wells team and in particular for the opportunity to be a curious individual, having the freedom to ask “WHY?” things were being done in certain ways. Whilst our industry no doubt has faced its headwinds over recent years politically, commercially and reputationally, I feel the opportunity to grow positively into the future is as a strong as ever, so long as we continue to be curious and question “WHY?”. I’m incredibly proud to see the technologies that my team and I helped develop over the years spring globally onto the worldwide stage now as an Expro team we deploy Cure Technology operations concurrently from the Americas in the West throughout Europe and West Africa to the Asia Pacific market in the East. Cure Technologies has been a nice example of many engineers asking “WHY?” do we need to expose certain risks when running and cementing casings, or drill out shoetracks, or wait on cement that long, and arriving at a technology solution that has asked them to break the status quo and help advance our industry to put new technologies into the mainstream tool box of standard working practices. Unlocking the full potential of oil and gas reservoirs requires a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to drilling operations. This section will explore the key elements of integrated drilling studies, highlighting the importance of collaboration across diverse technical disciplines. I got to know these disciplines directly in the development of my degree thesis to qualify for the title of Petroleum Engineer, with the methodology of the old PDVSA, they had an admirable multidisciplinary team, and throughout the development of my career working with interdisciplinary teams has been a enriching experience.

Insights from the Raia Project Workshop on Pressure Testing Recently, I participated in a workshop on Best Practices for High-Pressure Activities within the Raia Project, organized by TechnipFMC. This offshore natural gas development, located in Brazil's pre-salt Campos Basin, is crucial for our industry. The workshop focused on critical safety and efficiency aspects during pressure testing. Surely it is the need for the current times but learning the skills Quote: We can learn quickly… as mentioned needs hands on exposure on the ground which requires many other add ons like physical fitness, completing a few mandatory courses etc. Not sure how this will be achieved before encouraging knowledge transfer unless the learning has already been achieved earlier?

This should be no news at this point anymore, but I could not pass it on. TechnipFMC has been awarded a significant contract for the #Whiptail project in Guyana’s Stabroek Block by ExxonMobil. 👀  $500 million and $1 billion - Yeah, you just got it right! The SOW includes the supply of subsea production systems. Under this contract, TechnipFMC will provide 48 subsea trees and associated tooling, 12 manifolds, controls, and tie-in equipment. Not to mention that the company will also handle project management, engineering, and manufacturing. The #Whiptail project marks a continuation of the relationship between TechnipFMC and ExxonMobil Guyana, which began with the first contract award in 2017 for the Liza Phase 1. #TechnipFMC, which currently employs nearly 140 Guyanese, expects to hire and train more local staff to support this new contract. The award will be included in TechnipFMC’s inbound orders for the second quarter of 2024.
