Great advice. Recognition comes in many forms. I never cared for a pat on the back. I know some people love them, so I was happy to give them out. I just wanted the money. Call me shallow but ribbons don’t pay for groceries.

We all can appreciate more, giving more appreciation before constructive feedback. Appreciating not only results, but efforts. What comes to my mind is "the 5 languages of appreciation" from G.Chapman.

Being genuine is key Peter - people are not stupid and can tell when you are just ticking a box. But when as a leader you genuinely thank someone for their work, 💥
