To all Pastors/DREs/Principals, Superintendents, & directors of Family Life/Catechesis/Evangelization still eyeing the life-changing Trinity House Community Group "Heaven in Your Home Gatherings" in '24-25 (5 all-family throughout the year), I want to give you a tight yet realistic 7 Steps To Launch: 1. Now through mid-summer: Learn more about the ROI of this all-family initiative (English/Spanish) now active at 19 parishes in 9 states and Puerto Rico...with an average turnout of 60 attendees! ROI: 1) Parents equipped with a vision & practical strategies for living out the faith in daily life; 2) Parents build and strengthen relationships with other families; 3) Kids have a great time and get more excited about living out the faith! Curious? Schedule a 15-min. demo call with our team (link below). We get it. It's unsustainable for you to personally take this on. So do you lack the time needed to find/"nudge" the 4-8 volunteers needed to champion this? Let us help. Schedule a 30-60 min. Zoom call with our team, publicize it, and then we'll speak directly to those prospective leaders & field any questions. 2. Subscribe (just $399 for the year -- link below) and immediately access the entire suite of resources you'll need to promote your parish's launch of Heaven in Your Home this fall! Is $399 a barrier to entry? Message me or email our team at contact@trinityhousecommunity.org to learn about several fall '24 scholarship opportunities. 3. Reserve your parish hall for 6-8 pm (or thereabouts) for Sat., Sept. 21, 28, or Oct. 5, 12, 19, or 26, for your 1st of 5 transformative all-family gatherings. Your core team or KofC can have pizza/salads waiting for families right after they get out of the anticipatory Mass -- and they'll enjoy what one participant has called "date night, family night and a Bible study all rolled into one." 4. Summer: This is when your parish core team (think welcome table, refreshments, marketing, kids activities) can get on the same page and prep for their Sept/Oct. launch. No meetings necessary. 5. Plug & Play. With your subscription, everything is at your hands -- from promo materials to the beautiful 12-min. video series shown at the 5 gatherings, to discussion questions for parents. 6. Sept '24 - June '25: You set your own pace/schedule for when you'll host the 5 gatherings. Then watch as these parents and families grow in community and deepening faith. Watch as they get back to daily family prayer, family meals, observing the Sabbath, and more. Watch these families invite their friends, meet in the off-months, and check in with each other. 7. Yes. Heaven in Your Home Gatherings require some good-old-fashioned set-up/clean-up of your parish hall. And yes, the stakes are too high to let this work be an excuse for inaction. Busy & overscheduled families are facing stiff headwinds. And these simple yet inspiring evenings are a parish's easiest way to turn that around and position these families to thrive.

The best kind of work is where your values (what you believe) and your emotional drives (what energizes you) all come together. I wake up every day, grateful for my work, which challenges and delights and helps others shape a better world. And I’m so glad and proud that Ascent Leadership Networks, LLC enables me to volunteer for organizations that do the same. Every year, my family and I spend a week supporting the New England Hemophilia Association’s camp for people and families with bleeding disorders, a life-threatening chronic condition. This week reminds me of the best that I see in Ascent, and challenges me to see more deeply: * at Ascent, I see people coming together, building community, sharing knowledge , expertise and mutual support to help each other reach their goals. At Family Camp, I see people breaking their armor open, sharing their fears, their triumphs and their hidden hopes with strangers. There, a caring heart, a listening ear - and trust - matters more than any expertise or knowledge. * At Ascent, I see leaders push themselves beyond their perceived limits, growing into the people they want to be in the world. At Family Camp, I see children and young adults doing the same, pushing past fear, learning to use needles to give themselves their medicine, unlocking a life lived with a disorder - but not ruled by it. *At Ascent, we teach leaders to listen inclusively, and learn from the people around them. At Family Camp, I see young adults adapting to neurodiverse campers with a range of medical challenges, creating safe, caring spaces. Creating families of choice. Every year, Family Camp reminds me how much is possible - and to never underestimate the possibility in another person. If a 5 year old child can conquer their fear of needles, then how much more might be possible? #volunteer #chronicIllness #BleedingDisorders #leadership #development #community #possibility #joy

In commemoration of the Children's Day celebration, I admonish all parents to create time for their children. As a parent, it's crucial to invest in your children during your lifetime, leaving them a meaningful legacy. Invest in their education irrespective of gender and give them good morals. While investing in real estate is wise, consider purchasing property in your children's names. Additionally, writing a will is essential, despite potential complications from less-than-supportive relatives. No one can predict what will happen to your children after you pass away, but by securing their future with a good education and proper care, you leave an indelible mark on their lives. Family dynamics may change after your death, potentially jeopardizing your children's inheritance, but the benefits and values you impart will remain. Happy Children's Day Celebration to all the children in the world.

Parents listen to your children They are the leaders of tomorrow Try to pay their school fees And give them sound education. This is one of the songs we sing in primary school as kids. Children are not just the heritage of God, they are also the leaders to be handed over to. But, is building these children all about paying their school fees and giving them a sound education? There is more to raising a child, who is the leader of tomorrow than a formal education. And while parents are expected to train their children, everyone must help a child that is around him. You can help build a child's future by: 1. Not doing the wrong thing in the presence of a child, because children are fast learners. 2. Correcting a child with love when he's misbehaving, and not overlooking it that it's none of your business. 3. Feeding a child. You can save a child from associating with thugs by buying that N100 puff puff for a hungry child. 4. Gifting a child a book. Books impact knowledge and gifting a child a book will go a long way in building the right future leader. 5. Loving a child. A child that is genuinely loved will not be looking for love outside and fall prey to destiny destroyer. It is our collective effort to train the future leaders, either your biological child or not. I pride myself as a child, but since I'm at work and not on the field matching for Mr president now, I think I need to stop deceiving myself. Happy International Children's Day. #QueenDaisyIgnites

In today's fast-paced world, the importance of building a home where children feel safe, loved, and eager to return cannot be overstated. My husband DC, and I have been very intentional about what we allowed our son to see, hear, or be exposed to. This intentionality was not about sheltering him from reality, but about providing a foundation of love, wisdom, and guidance. Now, at 20 and 18, our sons are away at college, navigating their own paths and making their own decisions. It is a profound blessing to see them come home, eager to share their experiences, laugh with us, and seek our counsel. This is the reward of creating a nurturing and supportive environment. We understand that our sons must make their own choices and face the consequences of their decisions. Yet, we firmly believe that the wisdom imparted by their elders will always serve as their anchor. In life's rough seas, our home is their lighthouse, offering light and guidance. By being intentional in our parenting, we have fostered a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. It is this foundation that encourages our children to run to us, not away from us, whenever they need support or simply a place to feel at home. For those of you raising children, remember: the time, love, and effort you invest in them now will pay dividends in the future. Create a home where they always feel welcome and valued, and you will find them returning to you, not out of obligation, but out of love and respect. Darnell Cunningham let’s keep holding hands and loving up on our kings. #familyfirst #respect #growingingrace #godlead #blacklove

This week we listen to Crown Financials' episode of Prioritising Giving. The discussion emphasizes the importance of giving, balancing family needs with church support, and cultivating a joyful giving spirit. Highlights of the discussion: 1. Family vs. Church: Both should be prioritized, not traded off. 2. Tithing During Hard Times: Trusting God to stretch what you have is essential. 3. Joyful Giving: Giving should come from a place of love and joy, not obligation. 4. Incremental Giving: Start small and work towards a larger commitment over time. 5. Support Local Church: The local church is a priority for giving, followed by other ministries. 6. Freedom in Giving: A giver’s identity breaks the materialistic bond and brings freedom. 7. Unexpected Blessings: Giving can lead to surprising joy and fulfillment in both the giver and recipient. Key Insights: Balancing Priorities: It’s crucial to care for both family and church commitments. Neglecting either can lead to spiritual and relational discord. Faith in Financial Decisions: Trusting God during financial difficulties can lead to unexpected provisions and blessings, as seen in the example of tithing during tough times. The Spirit of Giving: Giving joyfully cultivates a deeper relationship with God, emphasizing love rather than obligation in financial contributions. Growth in Giving: Incremental giving allows individuals to grow in their generosity, reflecting a journey rather than a one-time event, making it more sustainable. Supporting the Church: Prioritizing the local church for tithing aligns with biblical teachings, ensuring that spiritual nourishment is supported. Freedom from Materialism: Viewing oneself as a giver can liberate from the constraints of materialism, allowing for a life defined by purpose and generosity. Impact of Giving: The act of giving not only helps those in need but often results in unexpected joy and connection, illustrating God’s provision in action. As professionals, we often talk about legacy in terms of career achievements, but there's another type of legacy that’s equally, if not more, important—family. Growing up, I learned that the values we hold dear can shape not just our lives, but the lives of future generations. This belief has become even more significant since becoming a parent. In my journey, I've discovered that guiding our children to value and build strong families is one of the most impactful things we can do. It’s not just about raising children—it's about preparing them to create loving, supportive families of their own someday. This isn't a lesson taught in schools; it’s something we learn through experience, and it's up to us to pass it on. Here's a simple framework I use to instill these values in my children: Lead by Example: Children observe and mimic. I strive to model the kind of family life I hope they will one day create. Open Dialogue: We regularly discuss the importance of marriage and family, and how these institutions provide a foundation for a fulfilling life. Support with Guidance: While I respect their independence, I also make sure they understand the importance of family values. Encourage Positive Relationships: I talk about the joys and challenges of marriage and parenthood, emphasizing their importance. Respect Individual Paths: Every child’s journey is unique, but the values we instill remain a constant guiding force. Research shows that children from stable, supportive families tend to perform better in both personal and professional aspects of life. This is a testament to the importance of the values we pass on to our children. The question is, how do we ensure that our children carry these values into the future? It’s a challenge, but one worth embracing. If you’re interested in strategies to build and sustain these family values, let’s connect. This is a conversation we all need to be having, as the legacy we leave behind is as much about our families as it is about our professional accomplishments. #parenting #parenting101 #America #HomeFront #Family #EmpoweredHomeFront #Nuclearfamily
