What is an "AI PC"? To be branded "Copilot+", it must have 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and a neural processor for on-device AI tasks. Abilities include: - Inbuilt new version of Copilot Assistant for Windows; - Upgraded Windows Search to answer requests or perform tasks; - Recall feature logs every action taken with "photographic memory"; - Recall ensures privacy by processing data locally not in the cloud; - Copilot+ coaches users in real-time tasks (eg Playing Minecraft). RenderMan participants had the use of Microsoft virtual machines with AMD processors, specifically Azure Virtual Machines HBv3-series using AMD EPYC™ 7V73X processors with L3 cache 3D V-Cache. The powerful AMD processors enable high-performance computing, and Microsoft Azure provides a purpose-built, high-performance computing (Azure HPC) infrastructure to support workloads such as rendering. #AzureHPC
The RenderMan® Challenge lets creators engage with Pixar, using tools and assets provided by the studio. Entrants now have free access to Azure Virtual Machines with AMD processors, giving all kinds of creators—from hobbyists to professionals—access to the best tools to compete. Amazon’s latest chip, Graviton4 is now generally available and brings better performance than our previous chip generations—delivering 75% more memory while using up to 60% less energy than comparable Amazon EC2 instances. We previewed the chip with a few customers, including SAP, Epic Games, and SmugMug and have seen some great results. At Epic, Graviton4 has helped powered Fortnite as fast and as reliably as possible so players can keep enjoying the experience they expect from the game. Here’s more on what Graviton4 can do for your business and a look back at how we got started: https://lnkd.in/gRaifmcc

Headed to #GDC2024 in San Francisco? Don't miss out on a game-changing opportunity with NETINT Technologies Inc. We are not just talking about the future of cloud gaming – we're building it with our cutting-edge VPUs. Voices of VIdeo chat with Blacknut's Olivier Avaro shed light on the power of VPUs in smashing the old limits of server capacity. Imagine hosting up to 200 game sessions on one server. That's not a typo – we're talking about a game server revolution that's reshaping costs and gameplay. Say goodbye to the old GPU slice-and-dice and hello to the trio of #CPU, #GPU, and #VPU. It's like giving your server a superpower, slashing operational costs, and packing more gaming punch per dollar. This is the sustainable, scalable cloud #gaming ecosystem we've all been waiting for. Check out the details on YouTube: https://netint.biz/4chrQ40, and let's dive deep into this at #GDC2024. Your next server upgrade could be a game-winner. Surface and Copilot+PC's will usher in a new era of end user compute. Surface are introducing NPUs with over 40 trillion operations per second, a huge leap in AI computation that will have benefits on general performance and battery life. These powerful NPUs will enable new AI productivity tools to run locally on the device. Windows 11 also announced ChatGPT4o on Co Pilot - the Minecraft demo blew my mind, I cannot wait to test out the new devices and updates to windows when available Join us in watching via link below or message me to learn more #ai #innovation

I had a chance to play around with the preview of GPU enabled #windows365 Cloud PC on a #NVidia A10 based instance recently that was mentioned at #msbuild. Here is a short video walkthrough of running the Phi-3 Mini model locally on a Windows11 Cloud GPU desktop accelerated on the GPU showing the e2e steps starting with setup, downloading the model weights and running the model inference in two different ways (ONNX Runtime/DirectML and GGUF/Llamafile) -- all in about 5 minutes (Video is at natural speed). That was pretty quick and simple, isn't it? Please check this out and let me know your feedback. https://lnkd.in/grFsMwKQ PS: Same steps should work on any Windows 11l local PC with a NVidia card too.
