In our latest Emerging Futures research, 58% of international students stated they had changed their mind about their preferred study destination at least once, and the top reason for this was the cost of living in the destination. Now, more than ever, there is pressure on institutions to ensure they are pricing programs competitively, not only to compete against other domestic institutions but also internationally. In our latest article, "International Fees and Program Pricing," the IDP IQ team has taken a closer look at how international tuition fees differ by destination and the potential risk of continuing to increase tuition fees. As the IT Leader at International Business University, I had the privilege of attending the Bloomberg Canadian University Symposium Bloomberg where industry leaders, innovators, and educators convened to explore the future of education and technology. Under the visionary leadership of Taylan Tatli, CPA,CMA and Dr. Artie Ng, I have worked closely with our IT partners to establish a Bloomberg Lab at International Business University (IBU). This state-of-the-art facility will grant our students unparalleled access to real-time financial data, advanced analytical tools, and global market insights, equipping them with a decisive edge in the fast-paced financial sector. Key Takeaways: The critical role of adopting cutting-edge technology to enrich student experiences and prepare them for the dynamic job market. Harnessing data and analytics to drive more intelligent and efficient university operations. How International Business University is leading the way in building more inclusive and sustainable educational environments. With the Bloomberg Lab, IBU will offer immersive, hands-on learning experiences that seamlessly bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering students to excel in areas such as financial markets, investment banking, and business analysis. A heartfelt thank you to Bloomberg and the incredible speakers Bachir CHEHAB Elizabeth Casserino for such an inspiring and insightful event. I look forward to leveraging these insights in collaboration with the IBU Academic Team to shape the future of education and unlock new opportunities for our students! #IBU #BloombergLab #FinanceEducation #FutureOfLearning #StudentSuccess

The Toronto Global Forum provided valuable insights for navigating business behavior during economic challenges. Observing OBM interventions by leading companies illustrated effective contingencies for re-skilling employee repertoires in the current progressive technological environment. The University of Toronto indicated that student behavior should be shaped toward acquiring soft skills. Universities are developing contingencies for students learning to equip them with specific behavioral repertoires tailored to various business contexts. I look forward to seeing universities incorporate OBM acquisition for the trained behavior analytics folks, ensuring students are ready for solving future business challenges. While Canada has achieved legislative independence from the U.S. (behavior science), our behavioral practices lag approximately 15 years behind—providing significant room for growth.

3wFor the UK this finding from IDP Education Ltd’s Emerging Futures 6 is worrying & frustrating. In 2019 Universities UK #research identified that just 2% of #internationalgraduates said their university #careersservice “helpers them find a job.” Then in 2022 Asia Careers Group SDN BHD provided evidence on #graduate #employability to the UPP Foundation’s #internationalstudent sub-committee, highlighting the need for improved Non-EU #graduateoutcomes data & employability support for #inrernationalstudents. in 2024 just 3% of #internationalgraduates said their #university #careers service helped them find a job, the sector moved the dial just 1% in five years. This is not for lack of effort but for lack of investment in Non-EU outcomes & destinations to empower universities careers professionals to effectively support international students successfully transition to careers back in their home countries.
