These days, several business owners spend a lot of time blogging, updating website content, and posting on Pinterest, Google+, Facebook and Twitter among other sites. Internet marketing tasks make small business owners, like us, wonder, "Do we really need to do this? How much time should we dedicate to doing online marketing tasks?" We probably even know many small business owners who do not attempt to take on these tasks at all because they feel that it is a waste of time setting up and maintaining connections with their potential clients and colleague. I generate over $15,000 a month through a google doc. I wrote it nearly a year ago, forgot about it, and it still makes my agency money. For those who don't know: I run an agency helping IT professionals in securing ready-to-go inquiries and high-value 6-figure projects. Up until April of 2023, the primary method to get clients was cold outreach for our company. This method was decent but we disliked it because: • There was no lead inflow. • The sales cycle was 3 months on average. • We had to put out hard contracts. We didn't want to function in this way. That's why decided to switch to the Google doc method. Here's how it works: 1️⃣ Write an explainer doc (describing your service) The document should explain everything about the way your service delivers results for your clients. Start by listing testimonials, then switch to your mechanism, and towards the end - state your offer with a CTA. (For more context, check out my google doc linked to my bio) _ 2️⃣ Make a go-through explainer video Now you need to work on creating a video of your doc. You go through everything and add something by yourself to the speech. Finally, upload it on YouTube. For people who wouldn't want to go through your document, make them watch your video. Leave no stone unturned. _ 3️⃣ Build a distribution mechanism Now that you are done with the google doc and the video... ...what next? It's not going to reach the right audience by itself. There are several ways for you to make it reach the right audience: - LinkedIn posts - Outreach InMails - X Giveaway Posts - Paid ads ...etc. You won't believe but within 2-3 months of me publishing that Google doc, I signed deals worth $15,000/mo combined primarily from LinkedIn organic. And I didn't post a lot of content. Check out the kind of content I posted and how it acquired the right audience for my profile. _ If you do the Google doc and the video right, expect to exponentially increase the automatic lead inflow for your business.
