🚨The Codling Moth Has Entered the Chat! 🚨 We're thrilled to introduce our newest (and perhaps tiniest) team member at scoutlabs: the Codling Moth! 🦋 No, it's not your average insect—it’s the ultimate undercover agent in orchards worldwide, and we're here to help you track it down. The Codling Moth might be small, but its impact is significant: 1. One Codling Moth can lay up to 50 eggs—enough to cause serious damage in no time. 2. Just one larvae can burrow through an entire apple, wreaking havoc not only on apples but also on pears and walnuts. 🍎🥜 2. Despite its tiny size, this moth can cover up to 60 miles in its lifetime! Stay sharp, stay scoutlabs savvy, and let's keep those apples worm-free! 🍎✨ Learn more about at our website: https://lnkd.in/d8Z6GDjV #scoutlabs #CodlingMoth #AgTech

Fun Math #331 In anticipation of trick-or-treaters coming over for Halloween this year, we have a bucket containing 100 candies. There are four different kinds of candies in the bucket, 25 candies per kind. If I were to give two candies at random for each trick-or-treater, what is the probability of having just one kind of candy left for the last 10 trick-or-treaters. Happy Halloween!!! #funmath

“Choosing Numbers” or “Picking Numbers” is an incredibly effective strategy to simplify complex math problems on the SAT or ACT. The ability to use this strategy well, or at all, is contingent on a student’s basic understanding of the relationship between numbers or “number sense.” If you want your children or students to one day ace standardized tests, start building number sense, and interacting with open-middle math problems, TODAY. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘆✈ It's a way I use to not forget the application. A number of farmers went to farm to pluck apples for a festival. I plucked 15 apples, you plucked about 20 apples and the other farmers plucked their numbers. Each of us all have a collection of apples we have plucked and we need to gather these apples to celebrate this festival. Then we need to perform the 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 method, where all the farmers need to gather each collections of apples into a single collection. So our collections have been flattened to one. 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 is a projection operator. If you find this post helpful, please repost🔁 to let others see. Follow me for more simplified contents.
