“Choosing Numbers” or “Picking Numbers” is an incredibly effective strategy to simplify complex math problems on the SAT or ACT. The ability to use this strategy well, or at all, is contingent on a student’s basic understanding of the relationship between numbers or “number sense.” If you want your children or students to one day ace standardized tests, start building number sense, and interacting with open-middle math problems, TODAY.
