RDS — From Single-AZ to Multi-AZ ·      To Create multi-AZ from the primary instance, we need to just click on “modify” for the database and select Multi-AZ ·      It is a zero-downtime operation meaning we don’t have to stop the DB. It is important to understand what happened internally behind the scenes when you changed the DB instance from single AZ to multi-AZ 1.     A snapshot is taken by RDS automatically 2.     A new DB is restored from the snapshot in a new AZ 3.     Synchronization is established between the two databases

Pro Tip: Always use a custom parameter group when configuring an AWS RDS instance for your production database. Why? Parameter groups control engine configuration settings. If you need to optimize your database’s performance, the default parameter group can't be modified—only a custom one allows for tuning.

ORA-32795: cannot insert into a generated always identity column [1022307] (oracle_endpoint_load.c:1600) ORA-32795: Cannot Insert into A Generated Always Identity Column   Cause: Initial load (expdp/impdp) brough as is data to the target RDS. Identity columns allow only oracle to insert values in the identity column (identity generated always or identity generated by default).   Solution on Source find out about Identity column query DBA_TAB_IDENTITY_COLS On target Modify Identity column Generated always to generate by default on NULL Start DMS Replication Post Replication completion, change datatype to its original value. Reset the start with clause to avoid collision
