At You're Worth Fighting 4, we're committed to a future where everyone has access to the support and resources they need in the fight against cancer. To ensure our board reflects the communities we serve, we're actively seeking nominations for passionate individuals who can bring a diversity of perspectives and experiences to the table. Why is diversity important? A diverse board brings a wider range of ideas, strengthens decision-making, and allows us to better understand and serve the needs of all those affected by cancer. How can you help? 1. Do you know someone who would be a great fit for our board? Please nominate them by dropping their names in the comment box. 2. Share this post with your network! The more people who know, the stronger our pool of potential board members will be. Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against cancer. Let's build a board that reflects the strength and diversity of our community! https://lnkd.in/gTraAUqU #YoureWorthFighting4 #BoardDiversity #CancerAwareness

Hey, B Corps! We're on a mission to make workplaces more supportive for those with cancer, and we need your help! Join us in our quest by signing-up to take part in our planned social media 'takeover' on Tuesday 10th September. Don't worry, you don't need to donate anything other than a little bit of your time and your LinkedIn reach! We're just asking that you dedicate a day to sharing our content with your LinkedIn Company Page audience so that we can get our key messages in front of more people. We estimate that for every 1,000 followers your Page has, you could help us reach up to 145 people we don't yet know, giving us the chance to tell them all about the impacts a cancer diagnosis has on affected employees, their colleagues, and their employers. But hurry, there's less than a week to go now. Find out more and sign-up here https://lnkd.in/e_97wBfH Can we count on you to get involved, uniting in collective action for this important cause? #BCorp #LTW2024 #WorkplaceCancer

Movember Matters 💯 As we continue our journey through Movember, let’s shine a light on some important statistics that highlight why this campaign is crucial: - 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, making it one of the most common cancers among men. - Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15-34, with an average diagnosis age of just 33. - Shockingly, men are three times more likely than women to die by suicide, emphasizing the need for mental health awareness and support. At Buildsafe, we’re committed to raising awareness for these critical issues. Together, we can encourage conversations about health, promote early detection, and support those in need. Join us in making a difference this Movember! [https://loom.ly/dE3DG-I] #Movember #TeamBuildsafe #MensHealth #GrowForACause

PLEASE WATCH THIS!! We need our army of Sophie's Legacy supporters to help us put pressure on the new government to 'un-pause' the Childhood Cancer Taskforce. We are feeling a bit broken and deflated by the shocking news that they are pausing the taskforce BUT we won't stop FIGHTING!! If we don't fight and advocate for our children, who will? Our children deserve so much more than this. Whether it’s supporting an important issue, honoring loved ones, or standing in solidarity with your community, Wednesday is all about making an impact. Together, we can raise awareness and ignite positive change in our world. How to engage: Wear gold to show your support and post a picture on social media. Use #UISHOCO to tag your post and inspire others to join in. This Homecoming week isn’t just about fun and games—it’s about recognizing the power we have to make a difference. Approximately 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Black women in the U.S. are about 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than White women, despite having similar rates of diagnosis. This disparity is largely due to differences in access to quality healthcare, early detection, and treatment options. At CSA, we proudly partner with Susan G. Komen for our annual Breast Cancer Walk because we believe in making a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer, a disease that disproportionately affects our community. As a social justice organization, we are committed to addressing health inequities and advocating for equal access to care, education, and support. This walk is more than just a fundraiser—it's a social justice movement that brings awareness to the challenges faced by those in underserved communities. This year marks our 8th year walking with Susan G. Komen, and we are dedicated to continuing the fight against breast cancer, advocating for change, and supporting those affected by this disease. Together, we walk for hope, awareness, and equity. Please consider joining our team or donating. https://lnkd.in/gheCshEt
