Harry Sanders answers how StudioHawk deals with cash flow in rapid growth compared to an economic downturn 💰 Here's what Harry had to say : If we’re growing, our revenue isn’t lumpy, we just do SEO. It’s all monthly recurring revenue, we don’t have that lumpiness of new projects coming in and if we do we make sure we have the money to resource that. It’s allowed Harry to bootstrap the business without any investment and scale it internationally. BUT in a down turn, Harry has always been of the mind he will take the hit. Just as in an upturn Harry will take the profit. So profitability will drop on a downturn. Our revenue has grown significantly YOY both in UK and AUS, another 3-4 million revenue in Aus this year. However our profitability has almost gone down. So we’ll make as much money as we did last year even though we’ve made significantly more revenue. That’s a hit Harry's willing to take, and the beauty of not having investors etc so I can do that. That’s the reality. You have to invest in systems and new processes so hopefully in 2-3 years I can see the fruits of that. In business it’s never win, win, win. How do you deal with cash flow issues?

This is especially important when you’re scaling internationally or expanding into new markets, where the upfront cost can often outweigh immediate returns.
