I often get emotional when I talk about RareFounders - The London Startup Scene, especially the #demoday
I was thinking about it the other day and remembered that the last time I felt so emotional about something was when I met my husband. Back then, 8 years ago, he used to live in NYC and I in London. Often when thinking about him, I would cry. That’s how much I wanted us to be together, and I was worried that things would not work out. 💔
I was clearly in love. 💘
Might it be that I’m in love with what I do now?
Everyone who spoke to me about Rare Founders knows how passionate I am about helping #founders and changing the ecosystem for better💪
Being a founder myself, with 2 failed startups under my belt, I know how hard it is to get a break. I know how much effort and sacrifice it all takes. And I get it, it's all part of the journey. But many of these things don’t have to be that hard; many of the BS out there should simply be cut out. ✂️
And that’s what I’m trying to do.
The goal with the demo day is to give more investor exposure to founders, having the needs and realities of investors in mind.
I now have a team of SeedLegals behind me, as well as investor partners, community partners, Seven Jacobs and many others who are as determined as I am to make it happen, to make a difference. 🚀
And when I speak about it, I get emotional because its success means a lot to me as it will mean success for founders. 🌟
So yeah, I might be in love with my work, or I’m simply stressed with it 😂 I guess I might need to discuss it with my therapist. 🛋️
