Global Renewable Potential: An Insight. It is evident that most of the countries in Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Australia have potential in all 4 sectors. Whereas few countries in South America, Europe and Africa have potential of 1, 2 or 3 sectors only. Also, few countries in the northern part of Europe have no potential in the renewable sector. The US has full potential in all renewable sectors. Today we participated in the #COP29 high-profile event “Mediterranean Momentum: Accelerating Towards 1TW Renewable Energy by 2030”. Hosted by International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Global Renewables Alliance (GRA) and organised by a coalition of organisations grouped under the #TeraMed initiative, the event aimed to support the objective of reaching a common target of 1 TW of renewable energy by 2030 in the #Mediterranean region. 🤝 It was an important moment to discuss strategies to accelerate renewable energy deployment, bolster energy security, and drive sustainable development in the Mediterranean with key leaders and policymakers. Another positive step in support of the #energytransition with renewable hydrogen projects like H2Kwinana best placed to deliver meaningful jobs, environmental outcomes and economic contributions as we move towards #netzero
Great news for Australia’s #hydrogen industry on Tuesday night. The Australian Federal Budget recognised Australia’s strengths to leverage its natural resources of sun, wind and land to produce green hydrogen. The Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive and additional Hydrogen Headstart funding sends the right message to companies like bp which are advanced in the planning stages for these projects…. You can find out more about what our teams are up to here https://lnkd.in/dJTJdNRR By helping to derisk massive projects in the short term, policy, including these budget measures, will encourage investment in large scale low carbon projects that will be essential to Australia’s energy future – providing regional development opportunities and strengthening Australia’s energy security. It’s an exciting time for Australia’s energy transition as we get closer to unlocking clean energy supply chains and realising our renewable energy superpower. #EnergyTransition

Later today, a significant event organised by Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative (SRMI) partners, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and ESMAP - Energy Sector Management Assistance Program at the World Bank, will take place. Attendees will focus on financing the energy transition in countries with limited access to finance. The session will explore various funding sources, both private and public, for renewable energy projects, as well as strategies to reduce financing costs in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). The event will kick off with presentations highlighting current trends in energy transition investments, followed by an in-depth panel discussion exploring future pathways. This session offers an essential opportunity for stakeholders to collaborate and address the challenges and opportunities in financing the shift to renewable energy across different regions. #COP29 #BreakthroughAgenda #NetZero

💧✨ Yesterday, Hege Økland, our Managing Director at Hy2gen Norge and Thor Ketil Hallan, Director of Strategy at Deep Wind Offshore, engaged in an insightful panel dialogue at the ONE OCEAN CONFERENCE. They discussed the potential for combining offshore wind and renewable hydrogen and how this union can help achieve the climate targets. ▶️ By using Norway's expertise in innovation, technology, andproject development from the oil and gas sector, Norway has the potential to take a leading position in the global energy transition. 🤝 Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, offshore wind and renewable hydrogen are developing a new energy value chain, from production to storage. The vision for this partnership is ambitious and has great market potential to make a global impact in providing renewable energy. #RenewableEnergy #OffshoreWind #RenewableHydrogen #Sustainability #Innovation #Collaboration #hy2gen #green #hydrogen Photo: NCE Maritime CleanTech
