As someone who lives south of the river, I really appreciate the congestion relief this project has provided. It's made a noticeable difference. Now, if only we could address the bottleneck at William Cannon and MoPac, where traffic goes down to two lanes before Davis. If they could convert that large shoulder into an additional lane, it would really improve traffic flow along this corridor. Does anyone know if CTRMA has any future plans to tackle this issue? #AustinTraffic #CTRMA #SouthAustin #MoPacImprovements #TrafficRelief #CongestionSolutions #WilliamCannon #TxDOT #TransportationSolutions #AustinInfrastructure #ATX Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority Texas Department of Transportation City of Austin

I know that Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority has a long-term interest in improving Mopac South. Perhaps this could be an interim step to spread goodwill and cheer through the (William Cannon adjacent) land! James M. Bass Jori Liu

Great question, Sarah Garza, MPAff ! I have wondered that for years but have never heard an answer.
